I kindly ask you that the Portland Pickles baseball team reconsiders its plan to make animals endure severe stress at its stadium for “Zoo Animal Night”. In the past, this event has flouted the county prohibitions on using wild and exotic animals in traveling displays. Please consider what the county director of Animal Services said was the driving force behind the need for this ban: the “inhumane treatment that these animals experience” when they’re trucked around and exploited for events like this.
