Portland Bible's two guards actually shot a pretty decent 6 for 14 from 3pt range. I'm not a college basketball coach, but I might center my strategy around that instead of running a slow motion set offense with players who can't pass. The team only had 3 assists for the night, and shot under 18% from 2pt range.

I played on a garbage high school team with the, hands down, worst coach in any sport I've ever had (and this is out of probably upwards of 60-70 coaches). Ironically, in my junior year, we were an almost .500 team, and were "co-conference champions" due to a snow-out prior to the conference championship game. We proceeded to get curb-stomped by the eventual state champion something like 105-39. It was worse than it sounds. My senior year, we lost everyone that got us a near .500 record in our bad conference. We legit might have had one of the worst HS teams in the state, if not the country. We came close, but we didn't win a game that season, and I saw 6th man minutes. Let me tell you, if I -- a 5'11 white guy with zero ball handling skills, and an only okay shot -- is seeing consistent minutes, that team is _bad._ Of the 18 games that were recorded on MaxPreps (there were a few missing), we lost by an average score of 70-45 to pretty garbage teams compared to the rest of the state. We probably could have played a competitive game with Portland Bible.

There is no way this is not a setup. This is how the Bible coaches demoralize and groom the kids to suck D in the back of the locker room. The kids feel so deflated that they just get on their knees and swallow whatever comes their way. A pure set up is what this is. Breeding trans women so they can be f'ed in the a-hole. I am not joking. This is how it happens. You push someone to lose and accepting losing and keep them in that mental state of mind till you find your way into their hole and release. You start investigating the coaches and teachers in this school and you will find proof that I am right.

There would be some improvements for sure, like when that guard drives the lane and nobody is there for the pass. But these guys are basically 5', 50 overalls on Madden, if that going up against 99 overall 8' tall giants. Can't overcome that with any amount of intelligence or coaching. You can just see how much bigger AND faster AND athletic the other team was. Though they weren't exactly worldbeaters compared to your usual college team either - note that player who tried to get fanceè with the open layup and missed badly.

My senior year in HS our soccer team was baaaaad. We went 0-19-1 that year. The match where we tied we had beaten them the previous 3 years 6-1, 9-1, and 7-0. I mostly rode the bench and played in maybe half the matches during the final 15-20 minutes. The one game we didn't lose, I scored the goal that tied it up. The next match I didn't get any playing time, even though the 'coach' said I would, so I quit the team after that...we only had 3 games left in the season by that point and I found out through the grapevine that they lost all 3.

I played on an All Star team in our state division. I remember showing up to the game and they handed us uniforms that didn't fit. We had to use safety pins to tighten the waste that kept falling down. We had no coach until literally right before tipoff. The other team was the perennial state champion and it was their home game. What the hell were they thinking with this match up? We literally felt like that pathetic team that faced the Globetrotters every night. We were down by 27 points by half-time eventually losing by 22. It was the absolute worst sporting event I ever participated. Even thought that game took place 42 years ago and it still causes me pain to think about today. So I can't even imagine being on that Portland Bible team and losing worse than that every game. What that level of losing must be doing to those players psyche they will never forget. I hope their dads are close to them, provide encouragement and some lessons along the way.

I once Coached a game where we entered the 4th down by 42. Due to weather both teams only had 5 players. We ended up winning when I told my team to forget scoring the ball and focus on getting contact. It worked, we fouled out two of their players and by the rulebook they couldn't finish with three. Their Coach was so irate he and his brother was waiting for me in the parking lot. 😂 They lost there too.

This was ridiculous. Portland State should be ashamed for having scheduled this game. There's nothing good that comes out of a matchup such as this, b/c it's not a challenge for the team that wins, it's embarrassing for the team that loses, and the only significance that could stem from this would be someone getting injured by playing in a game that served no purpose and never should've been scheduled in the first place.
