im convinced the sound engineering for this skit was intentionally done at a recording engineer's level. When he does the "no no no no" beatles vocals, he's moving his head mic to mic and his voice is actually panning through the audio left and right relative to the mics.

I like that this bit works on multiple levels. On a high level, it’s a funny exaggeration of an audio enthusiast who has gone all in on his passion. On a low level though, he’s referencing real world equipment and effects that are legitimately cool and are probably well respected in real world audio/music/studio communities.
