I spend my honeymoon there 34 years ago when this was still a small village. I went back 4 more times after and saw all the high rise flats sprouting like mushrooms on the main street. Summed up pretty well Kevin, you can have a smashing holiday here, the beach bars are a pleasure, bit of a steep walk up from the beach, you can also walk to Alvor in about 50 mins, lovely place, agreed its not really for stags n hens but going as a couple, very nice. Good vlog Kevin.

Aww was just there 3 weeks ago. The Tivoli is decent with lovely staff. Quiet bit of the resort apart from the thumping music from one of the bars. The beach is beautiful and some nice bars and restaurants along the boardwalk. Enjoy!

There's a little restaurant Al Tapas in Alvor,just a few miles away. It's a little Portugese ,the owners wife is English. They're so accommodating and the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced.👌🏻

Glad you took my advice on the Sagres as it’s much better than SuperBock. I’ve had a place in the Algarve for 20yrs and I love it! Videos are great Kevin, enjoying them thoroughly. If you want to see the most popular city now in the Algarve go to Lagos, it’s vibrant and cool. I’m sure you’ll get a great video there too!

Ah brilliant Kevin and how PDR has grown since I was there and even then loved it .I know you going back to albufeira but you should do a quick 2 hrs in alvor as that is beautiful with an even nicer beach and you could do lots of short videos but can understand if knackered so thank you again and give tenerife a rest for a couple of months 😃😀🙂🙃 the flying scotsman 😀🙂 thanks

That's portimao, by the harbour, its amazing, the beds are e15 & you put a wee flag up & they'll come & take your drinks and food order, heaven. You can get a water taxi across to ferragudo for e8 return, a lovely traditional town, wit amazing restaurants along the square.

There is a wooden walkway that stretches the full length of the beach and it takes you all the way up to Portimao

There's a 20min. walk to Portimao but not on a wooden walkway and not on the beach. It's by the road and past a restricted area where the huge ocean going liners berth. I've walked it a dozen times each way.

I will agree on Pickford, he doesn't add confidence to the defence. As for the penalty, for me it was a penalty because the German defender clipped Kanes back leg as kane was running to the ball, it then made kanes legs collide with each other and he stumbled over....but the initial contact was the foul by the German.

Hola Kev.I.N I'm enjoying your posts from Portugal, BUT so far not yet convinced its a place for me. I think Lisbon would be a good start point for me. I'm sure the Portugal lovers are ready to stick the knife in my back 😕 For me there has to be more than beach life and €2 beers to make a good holiday.
