Adam & Mike are great instructors but even better communicators ! Things are explained in a way that makes it easy to understand. The Lazer beam reference is the “Golden nugget “ in this video !

After golfing for over 3 years with extreme arm adduction, I am working super hard to undo all of that with your videos. I got down to a 3 handicap but I feel that just comes from constantly finding ways to compensate for other swing faults. I feel the arm adduction, "artificial depth" problem came from misinterpreting Hogan's book on how to swing the golf club. The feeling of hands initiate the backswing then shoulders then hips cue from the book is what I believe made me develop the issue in the first place. I'm in central California and would love to go to a clinic one day. I will try to learn off of your KZbin videos until then. Love your videos!

You guys are the best instructors on KZbin hands down. Congratulations on your new home. Hopefully one day I can make it out to see you in person. Merry Christmas.

I’m seeing more and more instructors focus on the sternum during the swing. I’ve been playing golf for all but 3 of my 40 years on earth, and i never thought to use the sternum to control low point. Great vid guys!

That’s because those instructors are watching Porzak Golf videos 😉🤣… because honestly, until I defined it as the center of the body and started talking about it when we opened shop over a decade ago, I’ve never heard of anybody ever referred to it in my life either! Thank you for your support Evan! Happy holidays brother!

Excellent video on the correct use of the lead arm in the golf swing! I like "the raised hand against the sternum and the reverse hand drills" that you both recommended and demonstrated in this video! Well Done Gentlemen! Happy Holidays!!

Yes,,,,, AND don’t stop this thought when you get to the “top”. Isn’t this a great thought for the downswing too? Seems like a great way to avoid “spinning out”, right?
@MrShagdog19 сағат бұрын
OK. Good follow-up. Thanks. Still, when the trail arm is folding, and it "feels" like the hands cross the "50 yd line" as you near the top, you're saying the hands actually should stay centered ? If your hands are centered at address, it seems like they would fold back behind the center as the trail arm folds ( unless the trail arm is extended outward away from the body )

Great video as always! Very clear and concise! 👏 Question though - with this model of swing, would you expect a player’s impact position to be quite square on (similar to set up) since the arms / hands remain centred, as opposed to rotated open with the chest a fair bit which would cause the arms to be more across the chest at impact? 🏌️♂️

So is the trail hand/arm just goes for the ride
@PorzakGolf15 сағат бұрын
Throughout our KZbin videos, we discuss many feels for the proper structure of trail arm, such as keeping the elbow closer to the lead arm, amongst others for helping prevent the lead arm from wrapping across the chest. So in a way yes, but not exactly bc it’s actually the structure of that trail arm that really helps the lead arm do what it needs to.

If you were to describe the feel of what portion of the shoulder you are using to push the shoulder, chest , and arm away would you say it's the back of the shoulder, or another part? I think some people might misinterpret the word shoulder and use connective point of the ball and socket joint to swing their arm thinking they are using their shoulder when they are just using their arm, and just increasing their lead arm abduction. Please stop using scumbag Woods as an example for golf. 🤮🙏🛑Use anybody except Woods. 🫤 Use Adam Scott, Rory Mcilroy, Charles Howell III, Justin Rose, Jason Day, or from prior generation: Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Stuart Appleby, Steve Elkington, Nick Faldo, Nick Price, or Greg Norman. There are lots of good ball strikers and solid swingers that are under utilized as examples...

Edit: for some reason it wouldn't let me edit the original message. One second watch at around 6:33 I caught the part saying pushing away with the back of the lead shoulder, so that answered my question. ;) What do you think about using both shoulders together in the takeaway / backswing? Back of left shoulder pushes away, and right shoulder blade pulls in toward the center of the back / spine in sync with each other? (The biceps seem to stay to the side of the chest - at least at the start to hands hip high back with both moving in sync).
