@19:07 Veronika is so right!!! I always see a huge uptick in sales after a few days of consistent listing. When I did Becky's February challenge, my goal was to list 20 per day, which I definitely didn't hit-but I was consistent, and I still had my best month ever, simply because I listed so consistently! I made 40% more than usual 🤯

For Riley- I do my measurements while I'm working with the item as well. I usually hang the item so ill hang it, do a front pic, brand pic, inside tag pic, any pics of details or any stains/flaws, turn it around and do a back pic and then take pit to pit and then length (on a shirt or dress as an example). I take pics of the measurements just like you do and then after I do that I also fold the item up and stick it on my scale which is next to my photo station and i take a pic of the weight too so that I have everything all together when listing.

Been selling for 4 years & shifting things now to essentially just try to get rid of everything that isn't new with tags items, which is mostly my home good section of things. I so appreciated all our reseller friends here, such a fun & great video overall! :) I am clearing out my folks' and my condo as my folks are 80 & with major health issues so it's turning into the Swedish Death Cleaning Project. But I never would have sold online if it weren't for Poshmark first, as it was easier :) Still on eBay & Mercari but Poshmark still has the most traffic for me.

ALLL were great advice EXCEPT one that COULD get you banned from Poshmark. Stock photos (yes EVERYBODY posts stock pics) can get you into trouble IF they ever decide to enforce their own rules. In the rules they do say to "take all photos yourself" so that excludes stock pics. I had them in my postings but took them off because I would be devastated if i got banned for not following rules. Saying that it is ok to use them is like saying it is ok to drive 90mph in a 60 mph zone because "you do it all the time and never get caught." Love the vid tho!
@LisaValentine1 Жыл бұрын
Yes, they say not to sell fakes but there are plenty of closets with ALL FAKES as well! I never use stock photos. It’s just not right IMHO.
@angelarthrasher Жыл бұрын
@@LisaValentine1 I use stock pics in a couple of postings because the mannequin and hanger pics just do not do the item justice. BUT I would NEVER advise somebody else to do it because it is against the rules. I also do not use them in my profile pic...just the last or so pic to ensure it will not be used on the net when the item is searched in google.

While I agree with this statement generally, I think it's one of those things that has room for nuance because almost everyone does it. And poshmark plays a large part in this because they do not enforce the rule. I wish poshmark would either enforce the rule, or allow us to use them. Especially because an internal study proved that items with stock images (or that were "well modeled") sold for an average of $10 more. You can see it anecdotally in the sold comps. Maybe that's why poshamrk doesn't enforce it. An extra $10 on a piece is an extra $2 for them. With the high volume of sales on the platform, it becomes obvious that they have incentive to allow us to use them. Rant over.
