Positano Italy | Amalfi Coast | Oct 2021

We chose the perfect time to take our dream vacation. October weather was just right, and the summer crowds were nowhere to be seen! Highly recommend driving or sailing down the Amalfi Coast, so many breathtaking sights!

Do you recommend visiting early or mid October? And did it rain a lot?

We went the 2nd week of October. The Summer/school-age crowds were gone, and it was still warm during the day. Nighttime is light windbreaker/jacket weather. We only experienced a light/misty rain on the 3rd day, but it had cleared up by mid-day. Hope you have a great trip!

Thanks for sharing! I'll be in Italy in less than 2 weeks visiting Venice, Florence and Rome but I'll be staying for one night on the Amalfi Coast October 4-5. Would you say that the weather was still pretty mild/warm in Positano in early October? Too cool for a long sleeveless maxi dress?

Thanks for watching! You should be just fine with a sleeveless dress during the day, especially with all the walking and stairs. Might need a light windbreaker/sweater if you plan on eating a late dinner outside though.
