thank you for your information. It is very concise and helpful to anyone visiting this area. I have been to the Amalfi coast twice now and both times made my base in Sorrento. One thing you didn’t mention was a Car and Driver for the day. This is what we did both times, left with our driver from Sorrento and went visiting each town and spent a couple hours in each town. We didn’t have to drive and the driver was very knowledgeable. We even took a boat ride from Amalfi up and down the coast for an hour or so that was included in our tour , it was not that expensive for us anyway about I want to say 160 to 180 a person but we feel it was worth it for the five of us. Our driver was very knowledgeable just where to take us and we didn’t have to drive and take our license in our hands , I am going again next year and will do the same. You also didn’t mention Anna Capri, which is lovely to visit… One time anyway I would never go back really nothing to see but very expensive shops and restaurants but it’s something you do once in your lifetime!

Thank you for your comment! Seems like we have a little more exploring to do - maybe a reason to go back to Sorrento soon 😁

I’m currently in Praiano, which is a lovely, quiet little town with amazing views of the water. We took the bus to Positano today and what a tourist trap. We walked around the town, full of shops with overpriced stuff. Looking forward to Sorrento tomorrow. I know it’s going to be a worthwhile visit.
@NALBATRAVELS8 ай бұрын
We didn't get to visit Praiano but everyone tells us it's lovely! And yes, Positano is a little overhyped - the views from the top are iconic, but the prices are insane. Hope you enjoy Sorrento!

Great video and thank you! We will be visiting Sorrento in mid-September arriving to Naples by air then taking train or ferry to Sorrento. We will need to take a taxi from Sorrento train station or ferry port to our hotel. Are taxis readily available when we get off train/ferry? or should we arrange a taxi/car pickup from our hotel? thank you.

Thanks for the video, is november a good time to visit Sorrento? Probably 3-4 days over the weekend to end our italy trip!
@NALBATRAVELS4 ай бұрын
November is probably very cold and possibly rainy in Sorrento! And it will be very windy. I’m not sure that many touristic things will be open as it’s low season. At this time of the year I would recommend to avoid the beach towns but if you really want to see it you can of course still visit 😊

Glad it was helpful! When we took it we didn’t have to weight our bags or anything, I don’t know if it has changed or of it’s different in the summer when there’s more people

Hi Thank you for info. My question is can i get a train from naple airport directly to sorrento. Thanks
@NALBATRAVELS4 ай бұрын
Hey! Happy to help 😊 There’s no direct train I’m afraid so you’ll have to travel to Naples centre first, then catch the train to Sorrento from there

Do you have to book train/bus tickets in advance or can you easily get tickets?
@NALBATRAVELS4 ай бұрын
We booked them on the spot! It’s possible that in high season they sell out faster though so it may be worth getting them when you arrive in the town
@thomas2004chКүн бұрын
how about October there?
@l_dg3828 ай бұрын
If you go to Capri its better to stay in Anacapri, there are some affordable options there. And if you compare those prices with lodgement in Positano its way way lower.

Are credit / debit cards widely accepted eg for the bus from sorrento to amalfi coast etc? Thanks!
@NALBATRAVELS6 ай бұрын
If I'm not mistaken, we paid our bus tickets with cash, but if you go to the Sorrento train station, there's a mini shop there that says "Bus tickets", and I'm believe they accept credit and debit cards 😊

I don't know how you can get 'immersed' in the Italian culture in ONE day! I'm lucky because I have relatives who live outside of Naples and can really get to spend time in the area. The area needs more time if you can afford it to truly get 'immersed' as you say. Capri, the isle of the gods, yes, only the gods can afford it, unfortunately.
