1. Sit on the end of a bench and grab a dumbbell in each hand, then lie down on your side and roll over onto your back.
2. Press the weights up so they are directly over your shoulders, elbows straight but not locked out.
3. In a controlled manner, lower the dumbbell down, keeping your elbows slightly tucked to your sides.
4. When the weights are just above your chest, reverse the motion to drive the dumbbells up toward the ceiling.
5. To finish, bring the weights to your chest and roll to your side to sit up.
WHAT TO AVOID
• Staying loose on the bench. Your entire body should be engaged.
• Flaring your elbows out from your body.
• Lifting or flaring your rib cage.
