Save the laminating sheet “back” piece, they are great for die cut stencils. Cos the sheet has white paper on makes no difference. Heat has made sheet harder so cuts really well. And best bit......no waste!

Alternatively, put images on both sides with copier paper between than you get most use out of laminator sheet.

If you used two pieces of the pretty paper/cardstock back-to-back, there'd be no need for copy paper wastage. Especially if you were making many of these pouches. Just a thought. Thank you for sharing 😊

What an amazing idea! I just love that you can have it protected but you can glue it down and not worry if it will stay! I just love this!!!! You can make less waste, if you have two different papers you have stamped or printed you can put them back to back (plain side to plain side) put in your lamination pouch and run it through. If you leave yourself enough room on the edges you wont need a piece of paper between them because you can trim away a bit of both sides and then pull apart as you did.
@sharonb.7867

So clever! Love the demo! Could you put pictures face down, two pieces of typing paper, and finally a layer with the pics facing up (four layers in the sleeve) - laminate. . .then cut apart and you would have TWO layers of pictures that are laminated on one side when you were done. Does that make sense? Because are you "wasting" one side of the lamination the way it is demonstrated? I am in NO WAY trying to criticize the demonstration, but rather understand the lamination process and how it can be done. God bless and thank you again for the lovely demonstration!!

What a clever idea. I also wondered how you could do it without so much waste so I put my first piece I wanted to laminate in one side then flipped the laminate pouch over to the other side, opened the laminate pouch and inserted a second piece I wanted laminated. So your two pieces of the white paper are sandwiched between the designs you want to laminate. Cause the laminating machine heats up both sides. If that makes sense x

This is so cool. I like to separate the laminating sheets and laminate one side at a time. I also prefer wax or parchment paper instead of copy paper. It releases easier. But copy paper is so readily available, it's good to know it works too. Thanks for sharing.

I use to do basically this same thing with my cold laminator, for the same reason. Once laminated I could never get laminate to stick to laminate with anything I tried. Had no idea you could do it with heat laminate. I will do two sided so as not to waste anything, because I’m too cheap to waste one whole side. Thank you for showing this because I’d not seen this anywhere else. Have a feeling I know what I’m doing when I get up in the morning.

Hi just another hint. Did you know that you can save 1/2 the laminating sheet if you cut the top where it’s joined and just put it through laminators with just the top sheet only. This way you save the back laminating sheet.

So you don't have any problems with the lamination releasing or separating from the paper? I'm kind of new to laminating but was told you have to leave a little edge where the lamination sticks. In other words, you can't trim our die cut them. But you do and it makes laminating so much more versatile & lovely.

OMG! This is such a game-changer for me. I was just sitting down trying to figure out how I was going to complete a project that requires that one side of a card be protected. I was contemplating using clear contact paper. Well, this technique is the answer to my question. I think that I will be able to use both sides of the laminating pouch to laminate twice as many cards at once by placing cards on the bottom of the pouch followed by 2 pieces of copy paper, adding the second layer of cards then closing and laminating. Thanks for sharing. I'm so excited!

I watched the video you made the other day where you were using "matt" laminating pouches and I was absolutely amazed,(and I had ordered some before the end of your video🤭) and now watching this I'm even more so!... Its such a great creative hack, and it makes making our own toppers, envelopes & more alot easier for us, especially as I still can't venture out to my local craft shop, but what I do have I can now easily utilise... Its laminating magik!... ...🔮🪄🧙🏼‍♀️... Im off to see what other wonders you hold in other videos...?... Have a wonderfully creative weekend, take care & stay safe my lovely... 💫😷🪄🖨🪄😷💫 (I know its a pic of a printer but it was the closest emoji to a laminater🤦🏼‍♀️)

I used to do this when I made glass blocks. I had one side with laminate and one side with adhesive. The design looked like part of the glass when it was laminated and was protected as well!

That a good idea. You can also use the laminating sheets that do not require a machine. I think they are self laminating sheets. I started using them on purses because the ladies in my church wanted to be able to carry their purse without them being ruined by the weather.

I love it! I did 2 envelopes at once using both sides of the laminated sheet just trying to avoid wasting, and I sewn the borders to make them stronger no glue needed, thank you!
