Just wanted you to know i absolutely love your narration. Ive never missed an episode. And when you said you started this in hopes to help your wife if you pass on before her made me cry. Based on that one statement i pray i have as good of a marriage as you do. God bless you both

Thank you @Dani-c6w!! 😃😃🎉🎉 Thank you for your wonderfully kind comment! When I feel a little tired and want to take a break I remember why I'm doing this and get back in the booth to narrate another story. Which is exactly what I am going to do right now. I appreciate you and thanks for listening!!

That insight about vertigo caused by looking "up" at Jupiter is pure genius.

@MichaelMMiddleton098 I enjoy narrating stories written by Alfred Coppel and very few of his stories have been narrated. Thanks for your comment and thank you for listening!!

Coppel nailed it with this one. And I feel later scifi authors got some influence from the sentient spaceship premise. Thanks again for introducing me to another brilliant story, Scott.

Thank you for the story - - Well Read - - Was thinking of a twist to the plot - - What if the life force that Clementine experienced was due to an unknown factor of the asteroid that impacted her atomic pile? And what ever was in the asteroid was now able to go back to the sun that was it's home, parent, source of life? Wishing the best for your family

Did the sun explain to Clementine that these were among the first of his sentient children I wonder? And not to fear them over much? Great story Scott. One minor thing, maybe I misheard you, forecastle is pronounced folksoul. Thanks.

Thanks @indetigersscifireview4360. I wish you misheard me but unfortunately I pronounced it incorrectly and you are correct. I take pride in my work but that one slipped through the cracks. I should have looked it up when I was in the booth but obviously didn't. Thanks to you and your polite correction I will never make tat mistake again, thanks for that and thanks for listening!!

@@VintageSciFiAudiobooks I started my career, long long ago (but not in a galaxy far away), as a draftsman. I would hand draft with ink on mylar film. One day I realized that I had been misspelling maintenance incorrectly as maintaince! It was on several drawings. So your one gaff pales in comparison to mine. 😃 Here are some other nautical terms to watch out for: Boatswain pronounced Bosun Coxswain pronounced Coxsun Gunwale pronounced gunnel (like funnel) Thanks for such great stories. I'd love to hear your reading of the Lancelot Biggs stories written by Nelson Bond.

Thanks for being so kind @indetigersscifireview4360. Funny you would mention Lancelot Biggs stories, I have been contemplating narrating them for some time. May have to move Mr. Biggs higher on the list of stories to narrate. Thanks for listening!!

I'm just curious as to what you did before you started doing this on KZbin. You are so much better than this AI stuff . And you rarely mispronounce a word. I'm thinking there has to be a lot of experience or training going on here
@VintageSciFiAudiobooks29 күн бұрын
Great question @poplarboy7129. Since I started narrating audiobooks I have found many words that I have been mispronouncing all or most of my life. When I started narrating I would open Merriam Webster in the booth and listen to the correct pronunciation of words that I wondered about. I still make mistakes but my goal is to make 0 mistakes. As far as experience, I have made my living with my voice all my life and I strive for perfection in everything I do. It takes longer to narrate a story that way but the way I see it people will be buying and listening to these stories for decades after I am gone so it's worth the time it takes to make it the best it can be. Thanks for listening!!
