Watching bad movies is so fun. As long as they’re bad in the right way hahah. My boyfriend and I watched Apex the other day (more thriller than horror I think), and it was probably the worst movie I’ve ever seen in my life. 0/5. But also entertaining. 😂

Malignant rips im totally in the first category, i love how the bits of pieces of the mystery come together and it felt like a comic book including the over the top acting. Enjoyed Malignant especially towards the end, I was like oh so it's that kind of movie. Old was just boring. M Night is a hack legend. Good idea but poorly executed with horrible dialogue. H Kills had decent kills but it was just a mess. Candyman? Its shot well especially the critic's death but I didn't care for the characters and it wasn't scary. They focused too much on social commentary that they forgot to make a horror movie. The original had that but it was subtle. You cared about Helen and it had a creepy atmosphere.

Come True had me absolutely mesmerized right up to the very end, which felt like a cheap kick in the junk. How can a film introduce such a cool concept as the shadow people ...then go absolutely nowhere with the shadow people? It was almost as if all the interesting directions the story could have gone was too overwhelming for the writer, who just decided "I better just wrap this thing up right frigging now, my laptop only has 2% battery left and my flight to the Bahamas departs in five minutes."

@@JebeckyGranjola i mean edgar wright is known for more stylized movies, so that didnt bother me too much, as for the women being sex objects/victims, i mean the main plot revolves around a woman forced into prostituion, so i cant really see how they can tell that story without the main characters being victims, there wasnt a lot of female characters, but i argue that there wasnt a lot of characters in general, a lot of the movie is the main character kinda obsessing by herself

There's Someone Inside Your House was one of my most anticipated movies but fell short for me, BUT it's because I had read the book first and there was a lot more character depth and development. So characters I fell for in the books felt shallow by comparison on screen. I'm hoping if I take time away from it to separate the two I'll like the movie more on another watch. Antlers I actually really loved but I loved your review on it so much. I understood every point you made. I had 0 knowledge or hype for it (I didn’t hear about it until it was in the theater somehow? I missed it idk) and I think it was mismarketed as a scary horror when it was a dark maybe gothic drama mystery at best? Malignant I really didn’t like. It was cool yeah but I just didn’t dig it either. I also have FOMO because I just didn’t click with it but I’m happy it has an audience! There’s something for everyone.

We def have similar opinions. I was also very surprised at how much I liked Theres Someone Inside Your House and Paranormal Activity Next Of Kin. I also really liked Last Night in SoHo. But The Night House was AMAZING and by far my favorite horror movie of the entire year. Gave me chills at some points watching it and I am soooo glad I chose to go see it in the theater. Can't wait to rewatch it!!

my favourite was "Last Night in Soho" followed by "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City". lol. Man, I am a total sucker for craptastic b grade zombie films and I fucking loved every moment of that glorious trash D: and wow. "old", aye? I might need to actually give it a shot then.

@rabbitmaze

@@The6Eternal6Dark6Lord I didn't mind the crap cgi as I was focused more on the human zombies going after them and they always tickle my pickle. lol. Especially with the settings they were in (mansion/police station). I also don't care if they follow how the characters are supposed to be in the games as I have no emotional attachment to them. I loved RE4 + 5 and then never continued. Although I do love Jill when she is going through her blonde/purple outfit phase. Aw I liked dumb ass Leon in the film. lol. Actually I pretty much liked all the characters. Even though they were tropey. I know it was an objectively bad film, but I also looooove the original 3 resident evil films and those are trash too. D: I just am able to get over many flaws of a film when zombies are involved I guess. Although this film doesn't have much re-watchability for me, whereas the other 3 I re-watched so many times over the years.

The scariest scene in Last Night in Soho was the one which, in reality, would be interpreted as a black man (wrongfully perceived to be) committing SA against a white woman. She's screaming, "No! Get off! You're killing her!" while they are having sex. I was so worried he would be killed or arrested, bc that is what would happen in that situation. Instead, the film frames this as no one having any awareness of this perception of the event or possible outcome. We are supposed to sympathize with the woman for seeing a spoopy ghost, and the man just shrugs that ordeal off and says the next day, "sorry if I did something to upset you."

Man I kind of hated Fear Street. I was excited to watch the trilogy because the ratings were pretty good but it was just a mess. Shallow characters, not even an attempt to be scary, and it had odd pacing. I didn't even watch the other two, are they better? In my opinion they tried to tap into nostalgia too much but honestly it would have worked if they just simplified the story and had better writing. It was a huge bummer.
@caiomorgado1535

The second one is the better one of them all. It still tap mostly into nostalgia, especially if you're a fan of Friday the 13th and similar movies, but it's a pretty decent movie. The acting is better then part 1, the story is more interesting and I personally think Sadie Sink is a much better lead actress than Kiana Madeira. Part 3 is not unwatchable, but to me it's the worst of the 3. If you like movies like The Witch, you might enjoy it, but I didn't liked and wouldn't recommend it. The acting is not that good, story is very confusing and don't get me started on the horrible fake 17th century accents.

Im in the minority of those who love Halloween Kills with u. Dont know why people hate it. The 1st part was already shockingly good which back then made me wonder how they were gonna top it. Bringing minor characters from the original together is goddamn one of the most ambitious but still sensical idea! I cant wait for next year. This time i have absolutely no idea how they r gonna top this in the last of the trilogy. And i love how Halloween Kills give the protagonists lots of control of the narratives instead of giving all the spotlight to Michael!

@@ripvanishh4723 Yeah I mean I like slashers too. I thought the gore and kills were pretty good but that was about it. Script was awful. I spent most of the movie cringing every time someone opened their mouth and started to talk. There was no story. Jamie Lee Curtis is in it for maybe 90 seconds total. I thought the acting of the towns people was awful. That car scene where the girl shoots the gun like 8 times in a row might be one of the worst scenes I've ever seen🤣 if the ending wasn't so retarded I wouldn't have cared about the other stuff as much but when I saw the ending and how ridiculously stupid it was it just set me off 🤣🤣

@@ripvanishh4723 Senseless slashers can be fun, but I felt none of that with this movie lol. I thought it was pretty dull, repetitive and nonsensical. The angry mob theme was also a bit absurd and the whole movie felt more depressing than anything. Not really what I want in a Halloween movie. Haha.

Last Night In Soho, Nightmare Alley and The Night House definitely deserve your placements! Great video!
