Me too and I have experience this in my life time. Any time a Man or should I say so called Man acts this way 1. he grew up around this behavior which that is not an excuse by no means and 2. He is very insecure with himself so he reflects that a you to make himself feel better and to intimidate you break your spirit and you self esteem. But thank God I was Still covered by the Blood of Jesus and I made it through Because he couldn't break my Spirit and even though i went through all of this i still had the strength to make it through and i was not easily Broken and that is what really made him mad.

Exactly. Never give them the heads up, just go. I was in a situation similar to this, except without the physical violence. I decided to leave, so over a few weeks I slowly consolidated all of my stuff in such a way that it wasn't noticeable. I continued to act normal as if everything was okay. The dude I was with was pathetic. He didn't even have a car and had to ride a bike to work. But I had a car. He couldn't pay the car note, and he couldn't pay the insurance, therefore, he couldn't use it. So on the morning I was going to leave, I saw him off to work as usual. Soon as he left, I got my cats and my stuff and got the hell out of there. I drove 9 hours straight home to Michigan, and never looked back. That's how you leave a fool. Just make up your mind and go. The Lord will be with you.🙏
@carolyndaly93686 ай бұрын
Did the same. He went to work early. Lef 26:22 t note on table and fled to shelter with 4 sons 10, 9, 7, 6 in Florida. He found me at shelter within a week. Had them transfer me to shelter in my home state of Richmond Virginia so I could continue therapy which I badly needed. He did get deep therapy for wounds back to childhood. We got therapy together. After 3 months I let him back home and we continued therapy for entire year. Me and sons watched an angry rage filled man become a gentle giant and stayed married for total of 33:years til he died of cancer. Until he died he kept saying how sorry he was for how he treated me during first 11 years of marriage.

I was blown away at how unbelievably raw and heartbreaking this story was, especially with her best friend. That scene literally put a hole in my heart because he was all she had left. I was so angry and crying, and then watching her husband complain about everything she did such as her writing, the food she cooked, making him a bath etc.) That wasn't love, he treated her like a slave and a piece of garbage. I was at the edge of my seat when the final few minutes were left and was so relieved that the cycle had finally broke. Her dreams were coming true, and she could now look ahead at the future. It just sucks that she lost her entire family and best friend to violence and abuse. You did a remarkable job with this movie, extremely emotional, and the actors were unbelievably talented at portraying their roles. Thank you for sharing you work and uploading this. I look forward to your future projects. Sorry for rambling, I just thought this was a 10/10 movie and wanted to express that.

I dated a haitian for 6 years from the time i was 18 to 25. He was 19 when we first met. He lived in Florida of course. He moved to chicago to be with me. Let me tell you, It was the WORST relationship i have ever been in.I was a chubby girl so I had some insecurities with myself. When my mom meet him she did not like him. His mom viewed black people in the usa as dirty and poor. He had worms in his stomach, I told him I was going to leave him and he begged me to stay. Mind you I come from a two parent home, my mom and dad has been married for 50 years. I had just finished the pharmacy tech. program at MTI before i met him and started nursing school in 2019, never finished til this day but i am working on it. so I really liked him because I never really knew too much about different cultures so I was very interested in getting to know him. I first year I fell in love with him, he made me feel like the most beautiful smartest woman in the world. He didnt know much about woring a job because his mom didnt teach him, she lived off her abusive controlling ex husband money( First red flag, That went unnoticed) and his dad was never in his life.(second red flag, that I ignored) I taught him how to fill out applications and helped him with his english, cooked and cleaned for him. My mom did not like him because she said I was basically raising a child...I wish i would have listened. I would send him back to Florida about 3 different times. he would not let me go, and me being young and dumb thought it was something cute about it. This man isolated me from my family, filled my head with dark and twisted thoughts. I was depressed and delusional at this point. After a couple trips to the mental ward, and being diagnosed with PTSD and bipolar disorder I had enough and kicked him to the curb.... I was struggling paying the bills because like she said they are good providers that I became codependent on him. I was always independent until I meet him, he put in my head that A MAN is suppose to be the main provider and that I just need to relax a little because I was making more money than him. When we broke up my world was no longer what I thought it was when we was together.... I cut off all contact with him but he still sent the rent by western union every month which I picked up and I become his lil WH*RE. I only kept in contact enough to get the rent and that's how he knew he could get my attention. ... I knew it was wrong but hey I needed help my mind was soo messed then and I didnt want to ask family because I had abandoned them for him. Through the little small talks, he convinced me that he was a changed man and even kept in contact with my mom to make sure I was doing okay so I let him come back yet again and we decided that we were going to stop "playing game" and start a family and get married. So I got pregnant with my daughter in 2018, had her later that year. andddd HE CHANGED BIG TIME. This man beat me so bad and drove my little fragile, postpartum tail, bat CRAZY. My daughter is my first and only child so it was already a hard time to become a mother when he put me through some bs. I had an emotional breakdown and his mother walked him through the steps to make me go crazy ALL BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO TAKE MY BABY FROM ME... they wanted an american baby because I guess it will help them get paper to the usa or something IDK. We went through a nasty custody battle and the court found him so unfit it was crazy and I was given sole custody. I had to take domestic violemce classes and that opened my mind to all the abuse that I went through especially the GASLIGHTING. BUT my parents got involved soo fast and help me get help and took care of my daughter. He still get to see our daughter sometime but he has gotten to the point he dont want to see her just because he is sooo hurt that i left him... He tries every way to get to me, and has been in some many relationships and had to many domestic violence calls to him, its crazy. I still have never met is mom and never plan to but that woman is the evil its self. but she goes to church almost every day of the week. something is seriously wrong with them and they prey on americans. I slowly trying to pick the the pieces to my life and rebuilt myself again, all while being a single mother but I refused to marry him. I know every haitain may not be alike like every american isnt but I would just advise whoever dates anybody man or woman from any culture to beware of what HEALTHY relationship looks like and how the two cultures can be combined without causing conflict. Also be aware of the red flags and see what can the other person offer or looking to gain for the relationship, and likewise. Because PEOPLE WILL PREY ON YOU

Ouuuuue this angers me so bad!!!! Had a dude just like him. Controlled my every move, stopped me from going to college..... so glad I made it out; I didn’t realize how dangerous these situations are until I was out of it. Me And I’m sure other women have felt like fuckit just kill me get it over with!!! That’s how bad it can feel when there seems to be no way out no matter where you go to try to be safe and he finds, you. You can spend a lifetime of running, ducking, dodging, and hiding. Until the nut case is either locked up; or dead. My freedom and security came when the fool was sentenced to 10 years to which he got out on parole a day before thanksgiving this year. Now I’m kinda on edge again a little because though I’m miles away, I don’t feel like I’m far enough; even considering moving one more time. Police told me indirectly to do the exact same thing she did! I felt so relieved for her.
