Possible MGM hack victims need to stay vigilant, expert says

The group claiming responsibility for hacking MGM this week says they carried out the cyber attack in part thanks to a 10-minute phone call, according to a report from USA Today. Bob Anderson, chairman and CEO of Cyber Defense Labs and former executive assistant director of the FBI, joined CBS News to discuss the hack.

Anybody who worked for the IT department, even that lowly desktop support guy, has enough information to hack a company that fired them. All they need is to be untraceable and that's a skill a desktop person may not have acquired but no stopping them from giving that information to somebody who has that skill.

Pretty much 90% of hacking is tricking someone into giving you access, either by having them install a file, creating/exploiting a backdoor, or just straight up getting a password from them

they need to start making it illegal to put systems on the internet. all medical systems should not be allowed to be physically connected to the internet in any way shape or form. the internet really needs to be disassembled because its just making life harder for everyone.
