To be honest, its hard to keep them out. They (along with Jinx and Ekko) were the most popular characters in Arcane. Considering the following of Caitlyn and Vi has gathered. It makes perfect sense to keep the characters in the limelight.

i'm 100% sure that there will be some series in the future that returns and focus on Piltover and Zaun again. There's a lot of champions from these places that didn't even appeared: Ezreal, Camille, Seraphine, Blitzcrank, Dr Mundo, Janna, Twitch, Urgot, Renata Glasc, Zac, Zeri and Ziggs. And the characters that already appeared, seems that their history isn't finished yet.

Ekko became popular out of nowhere. From an almost non-existent secondary character to everything in the last few episodes. They needed to plug some holes when they realized that the third season wasn't going to happen. Obviously I would be happy if they reused some characters, but it also seemed like a fairly marketing operation considering that they said that the story ended there and that they would make other series on other different characters

That makes me feel a bit better about the short show length. Still think it should have had three seasons minimum. It isn’t that I don’t appreciate the other plot lines and characters development. Most of the core cast is compelling. But on rewatch i am mostly here for vi and caitlyn. The obvious set ups for spin off stories centered Jinx (assuming she lived) and Mel. Both stories that would likely have little to do with Piltover and Zaun. Ans thus have little to no Caitlyn and Vi. Caitlyn and vi are one of the most entertaining and fun same sex couples in a decade. (Yes fight me) So it would be a shame to not come back around and tell more of their story. For now i am still reading fan fiction.

I have a couple observations. 1. Caitlyn did say “our story isn’t over.” 2. Cait asked Vi, “are you still in this fight.” 3. and, I know it’s to really “punish” her to turn a blind eye on Ambessa’s agenda by the creators, but why made Cait blind in one eye if it’s not going to be any significance afterwards? That’s why I think Vi and Cait are going to be featured in future series.

Well the significance of Cait losing her eye was in the moment. When Ambessa was training Cait, she told her about the importance of sacrifice. So in the fight with Ambessa, Cait made the decision to sacrifice her own eye in order to defeat Ambessa.

Sooo, it’s common in fiction but I do wanna say, as former military, closing your eye is actually a bad idea and something you’re taught not to do. You focus through your dominant eye, but closing one eye actually throws off your focus because of the depth perception alteration. We’re supposed to keep both eyes open when shooting That being said if someone’s eye is “permanently” closed, our brains adjust after a while and depth perception loss is overcome. So I still agree Caitlyn’s skill isn’t going to be altered in the long run, her dominant eye is in tact, and she’s a determined sort so she would train a lot to adjust and maintain her skill with a single eye Her biggest challenge is just going to have a blind spot now like someone sneaking up on her from the left

I had to leave twitter because of the hate both of them get. A lot don’t feel they deserve their story continued. I feel that they do. As Caitlyn said, their story isn’t over and I know that they play a big role as Piltovers finest. They can also be involved in other areas of Runterra. Personally I feel Cait and Vis story isn’t done even tho they did get their happy ending. They both are in the main core of original characters. Cutting them out would be stupid and a slap in the face.

If it makes any Arcane fans happy, as in current league of legends lore there are stories getting us back to Piltover. Also I know Riot long enough to know that they do not throw words at wind, meaning "our story isn't over yet' is actually not over. Thanks you a lot about this video! Till now, just wathcing coments and getting hints about jinx`s alive and her realtionship with Ekko (obviously i want them come back too). But... I need more of these two. Vi is my fav character, and i think this season she`s been misunderstood, Cait too. I love the way characters are just humans making decisions that afect them, and how all of them learn and grow. I love how Vi makes the correct thing at the end protecting Isha, even if she looses Cait. I love how Caitlyn gets her worst version when she looses her mother and hates Jinx (like Jinx did when she got mad about everything because of trauma and so) and ends up loosing Vi and even herself. I love how she realizes whithin TIME, distacne and perspective, (and almost becoming a new dictator under ambessa) about all her mistakes and is capable of forgive Jinx (putting all de guards at hextech gates) and then...all we know what happens next! Because of all this things they deserve more. And now, my theories: 1. Arcane is just the begining. If they have begun with this place and with this characters, it means something. It means something THE arcane is develop in Piltover and Zaun and is a new kind of weapon. It means something that Swain and the crows are controling hextech since season 1. 2. I think the spinoffs are just the continue of this story but changing the name and leting be much more creatives (is just a techinicism). They can start again from zero, getting just why they need and the best from arcane to the narrative of the new projects and learning from the mistakens. I think this is also a marketing strategy (a lot of expectations because we don`t know nothing, and they can know which characters of arcane are more populars to be in next projects). 3. I do believe there is a common enemy to battle with. On one hand, Arcane and the new series, pretend to show personal developing from some champions from LOL (what has demonstrated to be a gang for the audience, players and so). On the other hant, they will develop a common narrative that affects all parts of valorant and the main and most populars champions will battle on movie?. 4. The stories will take place at the same time, putting special atention in some territory in diferents arcs. First of all, and more decisive, has been arcane. But there will be more (I think they are going to choose those with internal conflicts like lux or joshuo or differnces like katarina-garen that they must overcome to fight the biggest problem (just like at the end of arcane...pararelism!) 5. Arcane main characters will be decisive in the story. Everything in this project has had a paralelism...with little diferences but huge consecuences. The best example is the last scene with Ecco ( I believe this weapon has been decisive in this battle and it will be in some point in fuutre), and there are more examples of this point. 6. I realize that just this version of this universe of pitl-zaun has survived to hex-core (is just this rhun in this version of jayce that makes a diference, the herald told it to Jayce). Even the universe of Ecco`s 2x07 may ended as bad as de Jayce´s 2x07 universe (Powder now knows about hextech because of Ekko, so hextech will be develop in this universe and it will end up as bad as the others. At the end Ekko got the best decision :) ). Then, it again, this version survives and it will be decisive to valorant. 7. I am from Spain. We say something like "to be like nail and flesh". It means like you are totally inseparable and loyal. I think, Vi changes it in a way that represents them a lot. I think they included this "saying" from spain because forthice is on Spain and France (so a I love it a lot). 8. The final scenes from arcane are Jinx saying: hello I am alive I just need time and space (don`t foget she`s personality disorders and she killed caitlyns mom and i do not see them at the moment being sisters in law at al) but also Caitlyn purposing Vi keeping fiting and I think part of this fight (as i said) will involve all territories. They need time, time cures everything (there is even an interview in sapanigh to C.Linke saying www.infobae.com/malditos-nerds/2024/12/06/entrevistamos-a-christian-linke-showrunner-de-la-serie-arcane/).

I'm very sorry to tell you if you look further into this very tweet thread he answers a few another persons questions that are far more specific and it boils down to them having concepts for them and basically all the characters it seems from his various interview like with Necrit where he mentioned his desire to continue Jinx and Ekko, and Heimerdinger. Anyway he mentioned large scope which could possibly be meaning a crossover event more so than anything due to his phrasing. He also mentioned how these things need to be greenlit and can be dropped for creative, business, or investor reasons at any moment. China is there biggest player base and audience which is against same sex relationships which due to money purposes is against them (they cut around Cait Vi a lot in there Arcane cut). Animation takes years and with how many regions with huge fanbases that need to be explored and how coming back to P and Z anytime soon would mean they have to address the oppression plot more (it could be in poor taste otherwise) and them wanting to have a centralist stance it is unlikely to be returned to anytime soon (multiple other productions will likely happen before any of that despite some missing champions and likely a timeskip (160 or so champions to explore still many of them more popular then some Arcane characters including Cait and Vi despite no show to boost them [especially true in the league community of course]). This leave and Cait and Vi in a weird place since they are the characters most set in P and Z with no hints as to leaving compared to the others. Its possible, but he is known to say vague answers to things that turn out to be different then what people assumed. (he could literally mean the games in that tweet). Mel is the character most likely returning anytime soon since this is a game business and they need to launch her as a champion like her mother. He mention things on the horizon which will likely be other mediums than tv or movies since he said " i cannot say for sure" this is attached to his comments on how fragile it is.

That's amazing news! I don't know if we will see them in the near future, because like Avengers of MCU they can explore other champions/heroes and then make them team up in one film vs a common enemy. My other option is a police TV Show like a Sherlock Holmes and expand the other Champions that are from Piltover and Zaun, like Ezreal, Zeri, Seraphine, Jhin, Camile, Janna....

Latching onto a tiny thing you questioned for a sec: yes, Caitlyn absolutely still can be a sniper with only one eye. 😊Especially since Ambessa spared her dominant eye which we constantly see her using to aim. Since Caitlyn uses a scoped rifle, she doesn't really need her second eye for proper depth perception while aiming as the scope handles that for her. She _will_ have a bit of a handicap as far as environment awareness while lining up a shot goes, because she will no longer be able to notice things in her peripheral vision while aiming, which really just means she has to be careful about choosing safe hide sites that allow her to focus solely on her shot. Her overall ability as a marksman shouldn't be affected though. She'll have to adapt to using only one eye to aim since she's used to using both, but the show showed us multiple times how brilliant of a shot she is. I've no doubt she'll manage.

During the final fight between Vi, Jinx, and Warwick, one of Vi's gauntlets was destroyed when Jinx pulled the Hextech gemstone out of it. As a result, the gauntlet fell along with Jinx and Warwick. This means Vi likely now only has one gauntlet left 😭 Also, with Jayce no longer around, who will be able to repair Vi's remaining gauntlet if it gets damaged?

Yeah, a movie or miniseries just with Cait and Vi would be better so we could get more screen time of them. As Linke himself pointed out, when asked about Vi's lack of development in season 2, "It is true that season two had other characters occupy more screen time. As writers, we were interested in these characters". So, I'm afraid putting them in a series about another region might relegate them to a supporting role, without much protagonism. We'll see...

It is no problem for Caitlyn to use her sniper since the eye got hurt which she closes anyways when shooting ^^ Also the episode title “the dirt under your fingernails” is answered from Vi with “nothing’s gonna clean me out” which is basically saying “ you are not gonna get rid of me” which refers imo to the other “killed” champion characters (excluded Ambessa unless they revive her Gangplank like) as well having a broader meaning - meaning, the story will still go on for them and they actually did not die.

I think, we’re going to have another show, maybe 2 seasons like Arcane, but in another place in Runneterra, and that “old characters” like Cait, Jinx and Vi will be present at last at first. They have so much champions, with so much lore, it could never ends… But we have time 😂 let’s them cook for 3 or 4 years and we will have another masterpiece 🎉

I just hope Vi isn't an enforcer, but that she helps in some other way like being a bridge between Zaun and Piltover, kinda like Vander in a way. I love Caitvi/Violyn but after act 1 Vi becoming an enforcer would feel so wrong to me. Arcane didn't really have time to explore Cait's redemption arc and although in their prison scene we see Cait's guilt Act one still was domestic abuse. We see how Vi took it. Cait having double the power over Vi (more money, house at her name and being her superior officer on top of that) is really dangerous and a bit oppressive for Vi.

Not only that but Jinx was right, joining the organisation that killed her parents because she's following Cait is horrible for Vi's character and motivations (Vi doesn't even respond to Jinx basically calling her the psycho). We see that their relationship is at their best when Cait lets Vi do what she wants and trusts her, even if they're not having the same goals.

@@noform-2463 I see your point, but aren't Viktor and Jayce (and Heimerdinger (kind of, i heard that his species transforms somehow) and Warwick for that matter) dead? They will all just resurrect and damage the show's plot? I believe they said that the game now follows Arcane so it's possible that the writers can get more artistic freedom to not follow the cannon to a certain degree. I just hope that in case that this does happen and we see it on a show they don't just omit the fact that Vi is really dependant on Cait and that they address it somehow because it can go from bittersweet to really f* up imo.

@@laiag4854 So basically Riot removed plot armour, meaning that characters can be killed and still exist in game - being playable characters. About all deaths, we have only one confirmed death - Ambessa. Rest is up to creators, they can bring them back. (About Heimerdinger - he is a yordle, they basically can't die, they go back to mystical place called Bandle City.)

@@noform-2463 So if characters can be killed and still be playable that means that their game version doesn't need to be current events version (Viktor did loosely transform into glorious evolution Viktor before kinda transforming again and then dying, that's the one we see in the game). I don't know if that applies for living characters but it could be the case seeing the amount of skins the game can make to adapt to the canon. Idk maybe they can make it work but I'm a bit scared. It's also possible for them to work together in the scenario I put, it would loosely fit but it's a bit of a stretch. I just don't want Vi in a perpetually shitty situation.

Hello, I would like to tell you that given the places that were announced, it is very likely that our favorite couple will be involved in these events, obviously. Noxus is where Mel is possibly heading to investigate the death of Kino and the Black Rose, it is also where Corin Revec along with his daughter Oriana are and since it is a creation of Victor, Vi and Caytlin themselves are tracking them to eradicate these creatures. so dangerous. The issue that Caytlin has been in a duel at a disadvantage from minute one with Ambessa is a wake-up call about Noxus where merit as right prevails, here the one who has to prove something is Vi. Noxus is a region that is or will be at war with Ionia and thanks to the "monstrous superweapons" of Corin Revec an invasion is carried out. Ionia is the nation that will be attacked here Caytlin comes back in since she is half Ionian on her father's side and being a Kiramman gives her the status of a princess or possible spy since she was trained by an elite Noxian warrior. Caytlin could be the excuse for war this time Noxus against Ionia or a bridge. We don't know how they will take the new lore, I see this as more likely. Demacia enters fully into this and I play Jinx, where she will meet Lux, a young magician with whom they become friends in Lol, it is possible that Ekko will find her and see her as very necessary and happy, having to choose whether to ask her to return or stay (another difficult decision, my happiness or that of others, poor boy) It is interesting that Vi and Caytlin are not the center of the events but the vehicle on the path of the narrative, the breaker of the status quo is once again Corin Revec

She'll definitely need a spotter, but her right eye is still intact and that's the eye she primarily uses for the scope with her left eye closed. Also fun fact. In 'Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning', Ilsa Faust uses a sniper rifle while wearing an eye patch. It's not because she's missing an eye, it's because the actress playing her, Rebecca Ferguson, cannot close her eyelids individually! So she needed to wear an eyepatch when looking down the scope so her other open eye didn't impare her vision. Caitlyn is going to be just fine. "And also no longer in the fight that Caitlyn asked her about." Wait a minute. Are you sure that's what the scene meant? Granted we don't know specifically what this 'fight' actually is, but the thing about Vi telling Caitlyn that she's the dirt under her nails is that she's with her no matter what. And I cannot stress this enough, it's those who fight that get their hands dirty. Also, Hailee Steinfeld said that Vi was still in the fight in one of the promotional after-show videos. Yes Caitlyn can still be a sniper. It is Caitlyn's left eye, her off side eye that was lost. Not the eye she would look down the sights with as she is right handed. While trained snipers learn to keep their off eye open not all do, nor do many competition shooters keep their off side eye open. The reason to keep your off eye open is simply for situational awareness and not because it facilitates a better aim.

I think Caitlyn’s still can shoot. I’m pretty sure the eye she lost is not the one she shoots with. She moved over to make sure Ambessa would take out her other eye (aka not the right eye she shoots with). As a sniper she doesn't really need both eyes since the scope usually only allows for one eye anyway. Granted, I don't know much about sniping, and John Smith's advice from Pocahontas comes to mind, but I have seen plenty of pics and vids of people closing one eye when sniping. Also, Silco lost an eye and gained an artificial one. Besides, do we really know if hextech was abolished in its entirety, or is there still some use for it? Say, for example, for medical purposes?
