This show is getting positive reviews but I think it’s incredibly poorly written. Every scene has something I find myself yelling at my TV about how dumb or poorly written/directed it is. Our standards are slowly being eroded as tech companies try to make movies and tv shows, using the same HR system they supposedly hire employees with.

Not enough people have watched a good show like The Wire, or The Sopranos. Shows like that focus on dialogue and storytelling, and they have hidden messages/symbolism throughout that can be called back to when something later takes place in the show. The Wire is essentially the ceiling for TV quality - I don't think I've seen a show more impactful, well acted and well written. Even the last season, which is the weakest one, is better than some other TV shows best series.
