Seeing as the building has limited security: fences, weapons, barriers, etc. i don’t think this is some kind of zombie apocalypse. More like a small amount of people are left after an outbreak (like what you were saying), not something where they would have to defend or fight

I actually did try to add a fence but it didn’t look right🤣but yess that makes a lot of sense! Like a virus of some sorts but not necessarily zombies🥰I like it!

or maybe they're in a secluded place! where the population is not that large, so it would make sense that they dont have the need to invest a lot in security.

Definitely a dystopian world. I'd say a nuclear war fits an apocalyps pretty well too

in my head the „main guy“ (the one living on the top floor) had a partner in the beginning and they wanted to find survivors to build a community and while his partner only wanted to find „useful“ people, he really advocated to save younger people, kids and just in general people, who wouldn’t be useful and that’s why he has such a high status in the community. another idea that i think would be super cute, is that the apartment that has the 4 children’s beds, aren’t actually those kids parents, but the two adult sims that live there are like the caretakers/teachers that look after kids that don’t have parents or whose parents are out hunting or looking for other survivors. such a great build!!

i feel like out of the dystopian apocalypse type shows/movies, divergent feels like it would be something that could actually happen. it’s not super extreme like the hunger games or the walking dead, but it still has that post-war trying to get things back together

One of my favorite books I read in high school was I Am Legend which the movie was inspired by. In the story you see the ups and downs and general survival over YEARS for the survivor we're following with flashback chapters about life at the start of the vampire outbreak.

My favorite apocalyptic series is Populations Crumble. It's a book series and people suddenly not being able to have kids unless their genetically matched. And because of that happening for so many years, many cities have shut down, the world population is decimated, etc. The books are available on Kindle as either paperback or e-book. Author's name is K.A. Gandy. First book is titled Dwindle

I LOVE this build!! Im obsessed with apocalyptic builds, especially when it's a big community trying to rebuild the world. I just love imagining which area I would live in and what role I would play in that type of new society. So thank you for doing this and thank you for making it so long! I hope you can do more long builds inspired by different apocalypse. Hopefully the next one would be a zombie apocalypse. I would love to see how you create something that's more fortified. But thank you for this, I loved it ❤

@@iHanza It is mostly done but now I have to do the landscaping. I will finish it soon. It has 4 lots and lots of common areas. 2 are 2 bed and 2 singles. I decorated one for a student. Your build looked exhausting but fun, I don't have the patents for it. It took me forever to finish that last larger apartment build I did. Had to stop and go back a lot.
