Why didn't she unstrap her gun from her back before she got the rebar in her shoulder? She had plenty of time to do that while the silver back was trying to break the door down. And she went for the knife instead? And the gun was trapped under rubble? When did the rubble fall? Strike 2. And only 17 minutes in. May not be listening to much more.

@bigblk45 . . . . . . . . . . During times of "starvation" almost all mammals will become omnivores and even cannibals. That includes humans. . . . . . Watch how fast an "ethically motivated" vegetarian/vegan will chow down on small prey if they're hungry enough. . . . . . Most of us have never felt TRUE thirst or hunger. All animals, including us, have a biological imperative to survive and will eat literally almost anything to that end. . . . . . Animals who already hunt to survive will simply learn to hunt whatever they have to if they want to eat. They will lose all fear of humans quite quickly in times of scarity. . . . . . As for humans, social conventions, and mores will drop away quickly. It will get to the point that we will first start to eat our dead, then will start hunting other humans to sustain ourselves. . . . . . My family went through this in Europe after WW II (except the cannibal part.) My family ate grass, weeds, leaves, shoe leather, and if they were very lucky, my dad might be able to catch some mice and rats to add to the soup. A really good night was a cat or dog stew. My father spent 3 years in a 'camp' during the War. He understood true hunger. We he was Liberated, he swore that he would not let his family starve to death. . . . . . A Silver Back hunting humans is entirely possible, especially in an urban environment.

@@Platypus-Dreamsthanks! I will check it out, because I just commented the same thing. I've loved primates my whole life, and have decades of watching Jane Goodall loving on these amazing creatures. So it kind of took me out of the story right away. Like being hunted by a Welsh pony lol😂.
