Working nights during lockdown was the best thing. Quiet, no disturbances, no nonessential people. Once they came back (especially the crazies on days) it was mayhem. Like letting caged animals out for the first time. People literally went out of their minds and regressed socially, from smearing feces on bathroom walls, stealing things, rage fits in conference rooms, weird attempts at handshakes, body odors, drug and alcohol use, and just poor conversational skills. Not to mention the trump conspiracy idiots and xenophobes. All at a government facility that requires clearances. I’ve never wanted a re-lockdown more after the first month.

What is long covid?
@keishaharris57732 жыл бұрын
@@TheWard1ne Hi there! I first want to point out that I'm not a medical professional. But having Long Covid also known as being a Long Hauler's (as I experience it) is someone who is still experiencing the symptoms of covid long after they've had the virus, hence the name Long Covid. For example, extreme brain fog, extreme fatigue, muscle aches and heart palpitations (usually for no apparent reason!) While the symptoms of LC may vary from person to person, those seem to be the most common. I've found personally that there are symptoms that I have now, that I didn't experience when I had covid! And it can also exasterbate other underlying conditions, so if you're an asthmatic, you'll probably be using your pump more and might have other respiritory issues. (Again I'm not a medical professional) I also have other symptoms, too many to mention. You can Google Long Covid, but it's best to speak to a medical professional who is familiar with this illness. I hope my long winded response helped to answer your question.

This is the truest thing!! I have long hauler covid. I was driving approaching a traffic light when i realized I COULD NOT REMEMBER which color meant which thing!! I knew one meant stop and one meant go, but I genuinely did not know which was which. I panicked, followed the lead of the cars around me, then pulled over and called my husband. It came to me a few moments after I was through the intersection, and I know I knew it at earlier intersections, but just for a few minutes, at a critical time, the knowledge was completely gone from my head. I used to read novels voraciously, but now when I get to the bottom of a page I have no idea what I just read at the top, and can no longer follow even the simplest plot. At the DMV I literally forgot my name. It was scary and humiliating. They of course suspected me of trying to pull something suspicious, because seriously, short of literal Alzeimers, or other very, very serious brain injury or disease, how is it even humanly possible to just forget your own effing name?!?! I was trying to write and sign a birthday card when I realized that I could not figure out how to make the letter J in cursive (which I've been doing beautifully for 40+ years). I just stared stupidly at the paper and finally asked Google what the cursive letter J looked like. Then, even copying from the image, I could barely make my arm/hand/fingers execute the motions.. I gave up, and an hour later I tried again, and everything was freaking fine! WT-actual-F?! After breakfast once I put the milk in the cupboard and the cereal in the fridge. Came back at dinner to find the milk spoiled. This is destroying my life. And I haven't even bothered describing the physical symptoms. But that game show was hilarious! I actually really needed that. 😆 😊

I hope you get your skills back soon. Meanwhile, share that with your doctor. Since recovering from covid I have had spells of confusion too. I often try using the wrong key out of 7 on my key ring and stare at the burgular alarm not recalling the code. Cycling used to be second nature but it now needs intense concentration. I have stopped using the wok in case I walk away and forget it. Re. reading I have switched to audiobooks on youtube. If you need to rewind and remind yourself of what you last heard , you can replay on 1.25 X speed. I agree that it is what one expects from Alzheimer's disease, only the contrast with before having covid suggests a connection. Good luck.

My heart breaks for all of you suffering from all things covid related. When we were on lockdown, I took my new puppy out for walks in nature and if a person happened to walk by, we each pulled our masks up. I still shopped double-masked and had a close friend to go places with. We were very careful. Neither of us has had covid - so far. And neither of us seems to have suffered from what so many others appear to have suffered. I send prayers to all of you to improve your lives. Much love to you all. ❤❤❤❤❤

it's true. if you literally just treat a customer service worker like they are a person deserving of basic respect (I'm not even talking about being super nice) they are so grateful :( So sad. But also....people who are mean.....remember that these people might not have much power..... but they usually have a little bit. I was just polite and smiled at the woman checking me in for my fight- and she casually ignored the fact that my bags were ridiculously overweight- and she was in her rights to charge me about 100$. she just....skipped that. I had no idea they had the power and wasn't trying to "get a deal"...but it seemed like she was just so used to people being ugly with her, that someone who was pleasant- I think it made her happy to a little power to make my day suck less. But we are all so stressed...and our brains are bad.....it's hard
