Great to see you again. So glad y'all have a home to go back to. A couple of years ago, when Laura hit our area, I know the devastation you speak of. Americans are strong people, and we have a resilient spirit, so rebuilding is what we do. It has taken us a while to rebuild what we can, it will take y'all a while, but it will come back. Y'all are all in our prayers.

We lived on the Texas coast for 30+ years, and evacuated many times for hurricanes and tropical storms. Hurricane Rita taught us all lessons of the dangers of gridlock traffic. I’m glad you’re alright. Praying for all.

Glad you're ok! You're quite right about evacuating being a complex issue for some. I couldn't evacuate if I wanted to, really. There's emergency shelters in the area, but they would be filled quickly. Greetings from Broward.
