It definitely makes me think about how I could be more prepared for an emergency. Extra cash, more non-perishable foods, more filtered water, full tanks of gas, solar chargers, etc. Even if I don't use them, others may need them in an emergency.

Preparedness should be about having knowledge three steps removed. So, for example, being able to make food from ingredients available to you instead of having the item in a boxed form, ready to cook. Furnace goes out, space heater and knowledge how to warm a house in other ways is beneficial. Phones/internet go down, know how to communicate with those necessary for you and entertain yourself by other methods. This gentleman went around helping others when there's no phone/internet - which is a good way to spend time if you have the means and willingness.

🇺🇸 Americans are rallying w/ effort and organizing methods to bypass a worthless FEMA. Donation$ are best made to Churches and established agencies that use our funds to purchase/order what is needed most. Pharmacies are VERY important to those who cannot be evacuated by medical personnel. Lot of donation$ being made by Patriots like Parton, Wallen, Biffle, Musk, Trump, and thousands of others. I've wired bank fund$ to Boone, NC. Let's ALL help out those fellow Americans who ask for little, now have little left, and can appreciate our generosity. 🇺🇸 America first 👍

That’s what I love about many churches, even though I’m not super religious. They have small communities that have large impacts. Recently my church asked for volunteers to help tear down and rebuild a house for a woman and her kids who had a rough life, to say the least. They didn’t even have usable plumbing. They would walk to a gas station to have access to running water.

I am a new subscriber to your channel, about two months now. I used to race bikes when I was younger, hardly ridden in recent years, and now I am looking to get back into riding more and discovered your channel when looking into all the new amazing technology available on bikes now. I am glad that you and your family are doing well and I also want to thank you for the videos that you have posted on the situation where you are. It helps to keep it real for the rest of us, even after the mainstream media no longer considers it worth ratings. Also seeing the way that people like yourselves pull together and help each other out however they can does as you say, help "restore your faith in humanity." Thank you for what you are doing out there.

Seth, you're a good egg. We don't need to see everything that happens, we know you're out there doing good in the community. The whole event will be remembered for generations, and the people who stepped in are heroes, including yourself.

"these are my people" I've heard that sentence from so many men and women across these videos from different channels, and it warms my heart to see community showing the strength and resilience of the American spirit.

The people up in the mountains of NC are some of the kindest folk that will give you the shirt right off their backs. I'm very happy, but not surprised, that everyone is taking care of each other. My dad grew up in Canton, and I have so many cherished memories of spending time in those beautiful mountains with my grandparents. While my dad and grandparents are no longer with us, I still feel a deep emotional connection to the area. I hope everybody pulls through and life returns to some sense of normalcy for everyone affected.

you’re a great person and such a gift to your community. shoutout to all of the helpers coming in from all over the place, just to ease the burden even a little bit. amazing to see that even if it’s during such a tragic event.
