After taking some time to reflect on the game I feel as if simply we lacked in the midfield we know right now we don’t have the midfield quality to go 433 against England (lacked the physicality). If we had FDJ and teun I really feel this tournament would have been different. Also I don’t understand why we don’t go 5 at the back and have Micky and Frimpong bombing down those flanks for this game. Brobbey could’ve been used in that process as a hold up striker. But all and all great tournament and the future looks bright. also huge shout out to you guys we all appreciate the great content. 🇳🇱

Thank you for doing this podcast. In fairness to Koeman, his 2nd half decisions did make the Netherlands more dominant, it's not his fault they didn't score in the 2nd half. That penalty in the 1st half was rubbish. The ref didnt see a penalty, Kane got his shot away and on the follow through makes contact, so what it's a contact sport. He gets over ruled by the VAR ? A bitter loss, largely influenced by the ref and questionable VAR decision, ref is not going to over rule the VAR people if he wants to call future games.

I don't want to be too negative about this. Both goals against came after wrong calls by the ref. Xavi Simons goal was awesome and Watkins scored a nice winner for England. Would have been nice if Frimpong and Van de Ven could have come on for some speed.

I am dissappointed. Losing always feels bad but losing like this against this England side feels extra bad. It was nice to be in a Semi Final again and I don't want to be too negative, however I don't think we can or should call this tournament a succes for The Netherlands. The loss against Austria in the groupstage and after that we go out against the first big team we face. The only game where we played really well was against Romania. There were good moments and players this Euros for us: Gakpo, Ake and Schouten were really good but as a whole we shouldn't call this a succes.

You can make an argument for Deligt to come in as a defensive midfielder since there is no one at the euros you can consider since in my opinion reinders veerman schouten are number

Hard game to take. Agree with US commentators that Memphis being hurt allowed us improve midfield def but we lost that person dropping deep to create and lost interchange up front. I think Memphis needs to be moved to behind the striker. A fully fit Memphis can play well there and has shown an ability to do that role well. Brobbey or zirkzee in front of him. I’d like to see us move on from 4-5 of the older or peripheral players. Blind, de roon, Gigi, Bergwijn

Deepay injury was tough though people consider him a liability but as the game goes on and weghorst comes in he becomes more influential behind wout.I though his injury threw koeman off.🤔

Good tournament, not great. We have the makings of a really good team. Need to build for the World Cup. As the older guys move out we seem to have ready made replacements in De Ligt and Van De Ven. If we can just keep Frenkie fit, then one or two attackers are needed badly. Maybe Zirkzee can really kick on under the guidance of Van Nistelrooy. Brobbey, Malen, Gakpo all continuing to develop. I see a good team developing. Disappointed with the 1st half refereeing and style of play though

England had twice the possession, more shots, more passes. Holland also needed the post, a goal-line clearance, and the tiniest of offsides to prevent further England goals. Even when Holland stuffed the midfield in the second half they still only mustered two spurious shots on goal and to call Van Djik's effort 'dangerous; is just delusion. Add to this Holland had no quality players to bring on whilst England had a full bench of star players just shows the gulf in class between the two teams and this podcast just shows the delusion of you Dutch fans. You should be ashamed.

Lets say goodbye to players: de Vrij, de Roon, Blind, Wijnaldoom, Bergwijn, Depay. Lets completely rejovinate the team with young and hungry players who are fit and can play 90 min.

Rough ending. Hard to believe the penalty via VAR in itself but the handball prior by Saka was outrageously missed. End of day Koeman tactics do us in. Game needed pace to attack weak England backline but no we get slow Veerman & Weghorst. Koeman needs to clear out 30 year old group too I think.

U guys keep saying underserved win for England so what about Hollands game vs turkey ? No way was Holland the better team.. it’s football u don’t have to be the better team to win games u need abit of luck
