It seems to me that the post Office did not take in consideration the amplitude of the damage caused to the sub postmaster, but only to save face. It was supposed to be a PARTNERSHIP business agreement NOT A ONE SIDED ONE

Just as I abhorred the slipperiness of The Post Office splitting hairs and hanging on specific words/terms to misdirect and obscure reality, I find a bit of this with this witness being done 'from our side'. I would hope that we continue building with stronger and stronger evidence as we head to the conclusion. Yesterday and today have found me slightly disappointed. Can we hope that our incomparable Mr. Beer KC is hard at work preparing for the much anticipated Paula Vennells????

I hope the Executives at POL all get prison sentences and severe fines. If they don’t, then Britain really doesn’t have any legal system to speak of.

Another person here in such a position of influence, who should have been able to see the wood from the trees, but despite all their supposed qualifications and experience, seem simply to be too thick, to get it, or are really covering up the obvious problems and resulted injustices. Shame on their obvious incompetence whether deliberately now manfactured or real.

Watching these people is an education on how to lie. deflect and not answer a question. The people who teach politicians how to do this must be impressed.

The POL tried to make the post office ‘profitable’, relying on the desperation of the postmasters. Government Services are rarely in the black. The US POST, has a net loss on a regular basis.

Given how well the privatisation of other previously-nationalised bodies has gone, what useful purpose would that serve?

leaving aside his flimsy answers... body language and facial expressions speak volumes! Another lousy liar IMHO. Post Office seem to have cornered the market in employing shysters!
