I am really trying to get into fishing glide baits and multi-jointed swimbaits this year. I don't have many places in the waters I fish down here in South Mississippi, but I plan on sticking with it to try to get confidence in it and figure them out.

Yes Sir! You do fish some different waters for them. I do know of some people throwing the 4-5 inch bream style gildes around cypress trees. That is something to think about. - Jimi

I recently got a custom painted jerkbait, that's purple and black with some glitter on the head. Two times I've noticed the bass would smack at it when I about had it back to the bank. I'd kill it, and or make another cast in the same direction but they wouldn't hit it or anything again. I'm in southeast Georgia in the summer pattern currently. What would you recommend me doing in that situation? I always have another rod with a texas rigged worm usually, and I know I can throw that in afterwards as well. Thanks for the video bro! 🤙

If they are chasing it and hitting it that close to the bank, then that can mean they are following it in and unsure on hitting it because they know it is not real. They are not in a feeding mode or they would potentially eat it right away. You have them curious on it by getting them to chase it though. If they chase it that close to the boat, good chance when you throw back to the spot, they are not there. You pulled the school of fish off the spot when they followed it in. My recommendation is change up the retrieve, try working it faster. It wont give the bass a chance to look at it as well. If they do not want it fast, then you can slow down. For me though if I slow down, I will throw the texas rig worm. So the jerkbait is my tool to use in the summer to create a reaction strike and I will use a faster retrieve.
