I'll admit it, 24 and 8 on 33 minutes per game is far different a decade ago vs now. Crazy part is that he was 27 a decade ago, and this year he's 37 with father time on the horizon and he's averaging 22 and 7 on 49/44/96 shooting splits. The other crazy part is he's not playing 33 minutes per game this season but he is at 30. Steph's just taking 1 less shot than his 1st MVP which means his production is on par and he's still elite. He has deferred to Wiggins and Heild a lot too and he's picking his spots and playing within the flow of the game. Steph is still a Top 7 player in the NBA, and at his best he is still a Top 3 PG and even the best at any given night. Steph is cruising it feels like, and finishing Top 4 in the West is all that matters.

This is why the Durant signing made me so upset. Imagine what kind of season the Warriors would've pulled off in 2017 if they had been forced to sit with their failure, and either crumble under the weight of expectations, or rise back up again as champions like the 2014 Spurs. They were in for a major redemption arc, but Durant put an asterisk on that whole saga. Cavs-Warriors should've been an all time rivalry, but instead it devolved into a one sided farce.
