Porter's logo might not be much, but the airline itself is incredible and unique! Many people would agree its their favourite Canadian airline, although Air Canada and WestJet seem to be purposely trying to piss off Canadians. Also they do a good job with branding (outside of the logo) and yes, their planes look really sleek.

That AA one is unfortunately only a throwback logo now. The current one that replaced it has been around for about 10 years and just isn't as good. The one you showed was created by a legend in graphic and industrial design, Massimo Vignelli. An interesting note is that he originally wanted to use just the A's. Feedback from American Airlines employees, though, showed that they weren't ready to let go of having an eagle in the logo, as all the previous ones had an eagle in some form. The compromise was a highly stylized/simplified eagle, which was also known as the Scissor Eagle.

Neil you like to open old wounds lol i used to work for 15 % of these airlines when i use to work at logan airport in Boston, So to say that logo wise you probably got the originals all in intact but in retrospect I've see more and I wish u looked up them up here's a few I think need to be on this list Alaskan airlines , tap Portugal , Ital air, KLM, Icelandair, sun country, copa air, TACV (cape air or Cape Verde) virgin airlines and finally Spirit /Jet Blue . logos on there planes are very good but as for services well ..... yea i was a former Ramp agent and all i can say some logo I've see over the 5 to 6 years I've seen there made their planes look interesting. well whatever airlines your taking just be alert about your things and remeber TSA officers are looking. Huh. No Alaskan airlines which is a decent size (6th largest in North America) and based out of Seattle. It also has a person in their logo. (edit: apparently not their primary logo. Maybe it's just the tail graphic)

As a fellow avgeek, I suggest you would also make a ranking of the airline liveries, and a little bit of further research into those airlines as well, e.g. where they come/came from, if they still exist, etc. I hate to say it but my favourite livery would probably be 🏳 Aeroflot. 😳 As for the logos, 🇫🇮 I would rank 🇨🇦 Air Canada first. 🤣 Some of this logo list either have ceased operations (🇺🇸 US Airways, 🇭🇰 Cathay Dragon) or are in the process of doing so, like 🇨🇦 Sunwing (a 🇨🇦 WestJet merger), or they were relaunched (🇲🇽 Mexicana, 🇮🇳 Jet Airways). 🤓

My two favourites have to be WestJet (really clever design) and Hawaiian (2010's reboot of Hawaii Five-O featuring one of their planes in its intro sequence). Flair should have stuck with their late-2010's design. Purple and magenta, really cleverly-designed plane tail logo, italicized font. Huge upgrade on their current branding.

How do they not even have the green in their logo that they use on their planes? Flair planes have really nice interiors for budget airlines too, I love how they use the green and gray. Air Canada and Porter interiors also look nice, heck, even include WestJet in that conversation.

Oh boy, you haven't been around much with other airlines if you think Air Canada is the worst airline. Definitely a shell of its old self and its not great but man is there much worse out there

18:45 funny, when I would get a United flight between LA and Vancouver, I'd always try to get one operated by Air Canada. I haven't flown them in a bit, but they were always so much nicer and cleaner planes than any of the American airlines (not the brand, the country). But given what I've seen with BA and heard of other airlines, I suspect this reflects how incredibly crappy all the airlines in the US are, rather than how good AC is
