Roman Wilson scored. Wasn't that close, although the ball moved a little after a DB swiped at it, before he crossed the goal line........he had control of it as he fell into the end zone though.

Michigan fan here - this loss was not on Ryan Day. 2 things cost OsU: 1) McCord throws the pick that goes for 7 in the 1st Q, 2) kicker misses the FG to end the half. OsU was still in a position to win the game with a minute left… the difference in this game was McCarthy made no mistakes and McCord did.
@WillErickson-1
@WillErickson-1 6 ай бұрын
@@ErikThomasMusic he got conservative because McCord felt like a ticking time bomb all game. He made some great clutch throws but it seemed like there was always an INT lurking. The players have to play too now. Day doesn’t throw INTs, miss field goals, drop balls, miss throws etc.

Winning the Big10 requires physical and mental toughness. OSU lacks both! They ran the ball well in spurts; but couldn't when they needed to. They beat teams that they have more talent than. But when they go up against a team with just as much talent as them, they fall short in other areas to win the game. Btw, UM was willing to take chances in this game! And they paid off. OSU was playing it safe all the way! Day got outcoached. OSU got outplayed! And now, their season is over.

I think OSU has more high end talent than Michigan. Stover = Loveland, the RBs on both sides are essentially a wash talent wise, McCord and McCarthy are a wash, Egbuka and Harrison are way better than Roman Wilson and the next best guy. Their defenses are pretty equally matched. UM is just tougher and better coached. Their o-line is banged up so they don’t even have a healthy roster at the best aspect of their team. I thought OSU had a talent edge in this game. Day just can’t maximize that edge
@throgmortonartstudio2402
@throgmortonartstudio2402 6 ай бұрын
This dumb take again. OSU does not lack toughness stupid. Kyle Mccord made two huge mistakes. it cost them the game. that is really the END of the analysis. Ryan day didn't coach a bad game. Kyle basically threw a pick 6 and that is just not a way to win. JJ barely missed a throw. but it had absolutely nothing to do with toughness. That is some weird Michigan Man mentality because you're a Monday morning QB and lack the basic understanding of formal logic.

Ryan Day as Harbaugh had to endure these losses, and it is a devastating event, But you have to hold players accountable as well. You refuse to do that. And your anger about the coach proves my point. This was the players that lost not the game management, the players. So suc it up buttercups And we will see you next year at your place.

Tommy Eichenberg has been one of the most over rated players on the team for 3 years. Watching him stand and wait for Corum to come to him on the goaline was embarrassing. If he comes to you he is already in ...this isn't the middle of the field where stopping a run at 4 is better then over pursuing and getting beat for 50. Reminded me of Ryan Shazier's goaline attack on Wisconsin where he attacked the back diving over the line. Letting players come to you instead of attacking them... in this game, wow, hard to stomach from a so called leader of the defense.

Everybody bagging on Day, but what about a qb??? Look at the qb play throughout the whole year... the first game I knew were in trouble. I'm actually shocked we weren't 50/50. It's NOT Day. It's NOT the D. It's NOT the receivers. The second half of the season the O line showed up, and that's when the running game came around. So that just leaves one position.... We don't have a replacement yet, for next year... Klatt said it best on his pod. "There were a lot of time's throughout the season that the team carried McCord." He is pretty good, but imo, he's not power 5. There were so many time's that i wished we had Nix, or Williams, or Ewers back, or, or, or... I called it last night to my best bud, and my father-in-law... "I have no faith in McCord, and he'll throw 2 interceptions." I like the kid, and he has talent, but not our standard of talent. Since Ewers is staying at Texas for another year, Day should seriously consider making a call to the Mannings...

Everybody knew the game was going to be determined on Kyle McCord and surely it was. Throws an interception to give Michigan the ball on the 5 yard line. practically handed them a touchdown. The our kicker misses a field goal which critically forced us to have to score td at the end rather than just sending it into OT.

Kinda bad game management. Shouldve gone for it on 4th and 2. They went for it three times on 4th down. You had 44 seconds and a timeout. You need two yards… and you have to be closer for your kicker. Yall scored with 9 minutes left and it couldve easily been with 11 or 10. Osu had more yards and more yards per play, michigan had more t.o.p… its called getting out-coached because you didnt open the playbook. Even osu had some trick plays with evan spencer vs bama. Day said it himself “i wouldve kicked a field goal no matter what”… its 2 yards in the biggest game of your career- go for it. Kicking a 52 yard field goal isnt as big of a risk as trying a 4th and 2?

UM's coach Sherrone Moore could gamble on 4th down (3x) because unlike OSU's Ryan Day, UM was at home, UM had something to prove concerning the sign stealing scandal and, more importantly, Moore could not be fired if UM failed on 4th down.
