Everybody said the same thing about Harbaugh until he started winning - the difference is Michigan has always been less talented (on paper). The past 3 years the composite talent gap has been 2-3 (OSU) and 14-15 (Michigan). That is a HUGE talent gap. The difference is culture and I don't think Ryan Day is a culture guy and Harbaugh is. Say what you want about the scandal but having an assistant coach coach in The Game and win against the second most talented roster in the sport says a lot about culture.

I’m a Buckeye born and raised in Cbus. Ryan Day will have one more make or break year, despite the entire city calling for his head right now. He’s who we have and emotions aside there is no logical replacement for him. I do think Kyle McCord should be fired, though. With respect to the game on Saturday I don’t think he should be blamed heavily BUT the quarterback play has been sub par all season. It was clear from the beginning that he wasn’t our guy since he was still fighting for his job until week 2 during this season. At the very least the QB1 job should open again. Day needs to swallow his pride and do two big things for him: Give up on the McCord project and relinquish any remaining authority he has with play calling. If these past three years haven’t humbled him idk what will man . . .

Honestly I don’t disagree with anything your saying. I’m sick of the lackadaisical attitude from the team. There’s just 0 chance any college football program will fire a head coach who went 11-1. I’m not like a history major or anything but is there any precedent for that? Have there ever been a head coach of a major college program fired after averaging 11 wins a season? I wouldn’t mind if he was gone, but what can they really do? To top it all off we have a brand new AD after Gene Smith retired and to ask him to fire the active head coach and find a new one is probably way too much for someone who just got hired at a place like Ohio State. Again, I don’t disagree with any of the points you made, but he’s who we got for now. Can’t really do anything about it, realistically.

As a Dawgs fan, I agree with your comments. The only variable that would cause me pause is, who would be Ryan Days replacement? Would they then lose two or three games a season and then to Michigan? Who knows. Can this one problem of beating Michigan be corrected? It hasn't for three years. This situation puts Ohio State right in the middle of a big ole hard spot. Go Dawgs!

When you have all the hand signals and plays of everyone in the big ten, let alone OSU the odds of winning go way up. It is like shoveling sand against the tide the last three years.

When I first started watching your videos over the last year or so..I wasn’t a huge fan. Not really sure why, I guess I just didn’t really agree with some of your takes. And maybe I was being a homer of my own team (Michigan )…but I always chuckled at the way you say “let’s geeeeeeet Into iiiioot” haha . That kept me comick back and now I love the channel 😂 Idi if I got used to it , or my own bias disappeared but …whatever . Keep up the good work and love living that dream ! 😂

He needs to realize that even great teams have to sprinkle in some creativity in the big games. He is losing by the smallest margins, he needs to be a bit more bold.

can't argue with results, 0-3 against UM, 1-6 in BIG games, top tier recruits, can't get the job done.

Crazy thing is that Josh Pate said Michigan players at summer press conferences were expressing that they see Ohio State in the rearview mirror. They dont see OSU as the goal. Your rival shouldnt be the goal. Thats the difference between fan perspective and an elite team perspective. OSU should have the goal of national championship. Michigan should be an obstacle in the way...nothing more than a worthy competitor.....not the goal of the season.
@calebleeson56627 ай бұрын
Honestly a cocky answer, they were getting dominated before and in 3 back to back years it’s no longer important to them. They’ve lost the fire and what can you say except Michigan is meant to be beat but when you get a soft guy like Day who can’t motivate and makes stupid ass decisions on the field it influences everything. We used to have drive every season it didn’t matter if it was 5 in a row hell no we don’t roll over we make them work for it and come up empty!

It's the attitude of the players and coaches. Hearing them say it's just a game. No it's not just a game this is the game that has a count down going from the time the game ends until the next begin. Honestly there are several previous Ohio state players who are head coaches. We need an ohio guy to coach ohio state.

So if a coach loses his first 5 games against the rival team, he should no doubt be fired, correct? That was Jim Harbaugh. Ryan Day is the same coach that was a couple of plays away from beating my beloved Bulldogs last year. Going by the logic that you and others are using, Harbaugh should have been canned in 2019. In fact, you can still find articles calling for that in 2019.

First thing you made valid points In the video . Let’s not forget it took Jim Harbaugh 4 years to beat Ohio State and people were ready to move on from him like Ryan Day and welp it changed. Ryan Day has Big Wins other than playing Michigan it’s not like he’s Lane Kiffin. If they do fire What Big name is gonna get OSU to where they are now.

The key difference is what Day and Harbaugh had in the garage. Harbaugh had a decent, serviceable Shelby Cobra and Day was gifted a pristine Ferrari. It took Harbaugh 5 long years and a failed experiment with a pass happy offense to rebuild that '67 Shelby Cobra 427 to a beautiful show car. Day thinks it is OK to park his Ferrari outside, on the street. Urban's teams were built to not just beat Michigan, they were built to kick their asses on both sides of the ball. Harbaugh finally took that lesson to heart and finally in 2021 he embracedthe old school approach to B1G football in November, SMASH MOUTH, 3 YARDS AND A CLOUD OF DUST, FOOTBALL!!!

Amazing point you made about Gus being fired from auburn that works against your point actually…since firing Gus how many chips have they even sniffed? How many times have they beat Saban? Same thing is most likely gonna happen to Ohio State if they fire Day. They will still be little bro Ohio State with or without the guy in my humble opinion

And yet, Jim Harbaugh lost 6 in a row against Ohio State, kept his job and is now on a 3 game win streak. This game does not take place in a vacuum. Glad Michigan kept Harbaugh and I was screaming for him to be fired, 4 years ago.
