I love watching your videos! You have encouraged me to start doing family devotionals in the evenings. We both work outside the home with 4 kiddos but like to stay home when we can and be together. I always thought the kids are not paying attention to what we say because they are not kids that sit quietly. They are very active! Last night we realized when we started asking them questions about jesus, they knew the answers! I was so pleased! ❤

Im new on your channel and while i was watching your daughter make lemonade, i noticed you could make a pc of counter top or butcher block pc and hinge it to the small counter beside the stove at the end...it could be made to fold up for more space but folded down for when the bench is used...we have something like that in our rv...just an idea that might work for you also....💕

I'm looking forward to the younger science books from the TGAB. I've loved the units we've done so far, but have sort of felt like the little kids get left in the dust a little bit, which is fine, but it will be nice for them to have something a little more geared to them!

Julie, I’m glad you’re getting a little break. I have a question for you if you have any time to answer. I have a 15 year old daughter with ADHD. She is not doing bad in school, but it is causing emotional distress for her. I wanted to keep her home for a year and see if it would help, however she is an only child and is a social butterfly, and I know it would cause more stress for her not to be with the other kids at school. She is at a private Christian school and they don’t recognize her disability act. She does have a special class called the learning center where she can do work she wasn’t able to keep up during regular class and homework. She isn’t able to do homework after school because her last dose of stimulant is at 12 pm after lunch so we can’t give her anything else after school to focus to read or do homework. She has moderate to high diagnosis on her ADHD. We had to start medicating her at 5. She couldn’t sit or stay in a chair or be in class without it. We have a tutor for her right now, but I think her reading grade level is behind a couple of years. She was given the assignment to read over the summer The Purple Hibiscus and another one named The Pearl. She read both of them and took notes but now it’s time to do the reports and she is really struggling. I didn’t like the choice the school made at all for either of these books for her!!!!! I would like to know if you would have any suggestions of a couple of books that she could read that would be a little easier for her. I want her to read one or two more books that were good and interesting for her before school starts so she would feel so defeated and would enjoy them. She loves animals especially dogs and horses. I know you are very familiar with a lot of books. If you can think of any books your girls might have enjoyed that would be an easier read I sure would appreciate any suggestions you might have. I know you are already overwhelmed right now so if you don’t have the time I completely understand. Thank you in advance for any suggestions you or your girls might have. Thank you so very much in advance. May God always bless your family with good health and happiness.

What do you suggest for 2 year olds? lots of read aloud? Shadowing other kids? What are some things you do?
@jasonandjulie4 ай бұрын
Two year olds love to work! I try to keep my two little guys as busy alongside me as i can. This morning i picked green beans and gave them to my 18 month old so he could put them in the basket. It kept him busy for 20 minutes until i was done. Also I would get a back baby carrier for times when he needs to be contained. Then he can be with you and also be in a safe place.

Yes. However, the computer that I am uploading videos on, the phone that I call my grandma with, the company that I order clothing from, etc., etc., are all companies that were begun (and are currently run) by people of different faith’s then mine. I have reviewed all of the curriculum and never found anything in it that goes against what we believe. So, since it works well for teaching my children, I continue to use it. Honestly, if you only use products that are developed by people of your faith you are going to have to get rid of a whole lotta things from your household 🙂
