Today we are doing a 20-minute postpartum pilates class for pelvic floor and core healing! One study showed that postnatal pilates was more effective than kegels alone to fix postpartum incontinence (or leaking a little when you sneeze or jump). If you have diastasis recti or have recently been cleared to exercise after a c-section, use the easier option/modifications.

great vid! i worked out out to this while cryinggg its just crazy how much your body changes after pregnancy. i was so fit and strong before getting pregnant, my pregnancy came with complications. my baby is nearly 2 and my body is so weak from being pregnant and labour, doing these exercises were hard for me. It can be so tough mentally from going to one extreme to another (with me i was so fit, so strong, pain free. Now i have to be careful with everything i do, getting out of bed the 'wrong' way can fuck me up for days going up an escalator does the same, getting out of the car.)It is crazy. Im going to stick to your workouts and pray that i can become strong again.

I literally started crying when I read this ! You took the words out of my mouth .. I was so fit and active. I had a horrific and traumatizing birth . I’m in so much pain every second of the day yet no one can tell me what’s wrong . I can’t do anything I used too . And I look horrible. THANKYOU for sharing ❤

Hang in there! Stay consistent and don't go overboard. If you're anything like me, i used to go really hard and with a new body had to learn new limits and new strengths, going too hard just bc i used* to really set me back over and over again. So. Try not to compare to your past self. You are you now, you are perfect, and you will be stronger than before! Sending you lots of encouragement!!

If it can help you ... After the 3rd year i decided i couldn't keep in with this situation of feeling so bad so i take more time for me and asked more of my partner to support or i would collapse. It is easier with help. So we need to stop thinking we are super heroes. We are human. Take the time and be consistent but dont push too much the exercises and with time and consistence it will get better. I did a full medical check up recently and discovered i also lacked some vitamins. So the tiredness couls also be cause of that. Overall having a child is exhausting and overwhelming emotionally. We will never be the same as before i think but we could get stronger and better with time, effort and support from partner or family and friends. I have a friend she takes care of my child sometimes one hour ao i can do my workout... It is gold to me. Hang in there and ask foe help. Even neighbours with kids couls help to free up somw time for you. I started when my boy was 3. Before i understand i could be hard to leave your child to others... But he'll survive 😂and you also. There is an old say:" It takes a village to take care of a child"

This workout video made a lot of difference for me! I feel like my pelvic floor muscles and core strength almost came back to what it was before pregnancy. Also, no more lower back pain or full body aches for that matter! I am constantly coming back to this video for restoring my strength. Thank you is an understatement. ❤

I love this video and have worked out to it countless times. I would LOVE to see more pilates workouts that specifically target improving (or better yet) eliminating incontinence postpartum. I had my child over 2 years ago still have incontinence episodes. Mostly when I run and/or sneeze. Sneezing is the big one. If you had a challenge that targeted healing incontinence, I would be all over that! Thank you for all of the work you do on this channel!

Wow! This promising! Although, I could have used it a few decades ago. After childbirth, in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s I first developed the problem and it has gotten worse over time. I have just started doing pilates and found this video. I also followed the link to the evidence and an encouraged by it. Sadly! 😂 Pilates, which I just started because of my hypermobile joints, makes me pee in my pants, so to know what to add to my routine so that I fix that problem is exciting!

This is also safe for pregnancy except you may want to skip the poses on your back late pregnancy (we are not just laying flat, but some women prefer not to exercise on their backs after about 20 weeks) (Also use the modification for the stretch on the belly)

I think this is what I am experiencing but obgyn won’t tell me. They just run test and said no infection or bacteria. But I notice the pee smell. Is this common with leakage? 😢

Tou should see a therapist even if it is just a few sessions to learn and then continue alone and come back after a while to check. Thats what i have done. It improved a lot. Thought i have been lazy these days.

This video is exactly what i needed. I read the comments and gave it a try and they are right! The exercises are the right amount of challenge for women who are pregnant and who have just delivered. I feel good! My belly kept getting in the way, but i still felt the benefits of stretching right in the pelvic area. After this workout for the first time i already feel my body heading towards getting its strength back. I realize how NOT flexible i am, but that didn't stop me from continuing and I'm glad i did because again i felt my body building strength back. When i pointed my toes i got a slight charlie horse in the arch of my foot. Those usually hurt, but as i continue to do these exercises everyday i know it'll all workout in the long run. So go go go ladies and give this video a try. It's perfect! Thank you for the positive quotes throughout the video and for your constant sweet smiling! I told myself i would exercise for ten minutes to start off with, but before i knew it i had reached the end and completed the entire workout. Yay! That is how wonderful i felt and excited i was to finally start working on my new body! Don't despair, repair. Haha. 💪🦵✊God is good!
