None of my pressure cookers 'whistle'. How long t=does this take? I think a teaspoon each of butter or ghee and sugar would have given a great finish to a super-duper recipe. Thanks.

Definitely not butter sugar ghee. Enough fat on the Beef chunks. I sometimes cook in a slow cooker or just in a big pot over slow fire with a lid on and water over the lid. Minimal water in the pot

Thanks for the recipe. Had a question here- why do we have to cook the chunks first and then chop them into smaller pieces? Can we, instead, begin cooking with the smaller chunks?
@KravingsFoodAdventures6 жыл бұрын
Hi there! 🙏 Thanks! I think a few reasons. I would imagine because people didn’t have ovens, they did it this way. If you slice before, one it’s very hard to slice raw beef and two your slices would be over cooked and shredded.

Hi Karen, This is how my mum would prepare the beef roast with cloves inserted in the meat. I would like to add for the benefit of those who don't know ( I might have missed it though if you have already mentioned it); we preferably use coconut vinegar in the cooking as the synthetic vinegar just doesn't give the authentic taste.
