hi -- I love your videos-- I am from Australia-- way down south in Victoria -- I was born and raised on a farm, and in the sixties, I would spend up to 8 weeks driving a tractor breaking up rough country and making it into beautiful pasture--- the equipment is a lot different today

Congratulations for all new brand equipment it is too onerous to make a time to watch this video because we are going to preparation for potatoes anyhow you explained the machines working with details as company could not gave such type of huge explanation your farm equipment look like as a factory i get flambergent to watch a too large equipment towing with 4 by 4 anyhow i m curious to watch potato harvesting when will you start Happy greetings for your family the video is very informative

Loving all the new kit for cleaning / stacking the cellars. Nice to get a proper walk around before harvest. One question because you mentioned that the previous conveyors were tripping because of the heavy load of last years potato harvest, but the motors on you new conveyors etc are much bigger. So is there adequate electrical supply in each cellar for all the new equipment and their larger motors, or do you need to use generators.
@RockyMountainFarmerАй бұрын
I’m glad you’re loving the videos. We did have to go through an upgrade a lot of our cellars. We also have a 200 kW generator to run a couple things at the cellars that don’t have the power needed.

What’s the wait-time whenever you order new potatoes equipment? It being so specialized I’ve been wondering.
@RockyMountainFarmerАй бұрын
It takes anywhere from 6 to 9 months I hope you enjoyed it.
@ileenmcminn2062Ай бұрын
If you added some spud ground where are you going to put them? Have you added any cellars ?
@RockyMountainFarmerАй бұрын
Our yields are down this year so we will probably have less potatoes this year even with increased acreage. We are going to try to add a cellar next year
@brettwildman6822Ай бұрын
What do you mean by set the skins for the guys that kill em off a couple weeks ahead?
@RockyMountainFarmerАй бұрын
If you dig them up without killing them a little the skins just peel off. So by killing them the skins get a little tougher and won’t peel during harvest.
