Kay I have to say, I'm so glad you took the time to make the recipe I sent in a few weeks ago! It's very refreshing to see a youtube creator actually listen to the feedback her community gives her! Just to clarify a few things: I am not a woman. I am a Jewish man from New York City. The dish you made was called "Latkes" (pronounced "Lot Cuz"). I did see your comment about forgetting the flour. Hopefully next time you give it a go, you can include that and see how it turns out! Don't worry about having burned it. Everyone makes mistakes. For your effort, I give you 5 out of 5 stars of David ✡✡✡✡✡. I'll think of another Jewish recipe for you to try cooking in the future! Try not to burn it! 😂

In what was supposed to be a simple culinary endeavour, Kay's attempt at hash browns morphed into a comical yet slightly tragic cooking fiasco. The dish presented was less of a morning comfort food and more of a char-blackened relic, reminiscent of an ancient burnt offering rather than a breakfast staple. Lee, the brave soul designated for the taste test, approached the task with the courage of a warrior facing a formidable foe. The hash browns, blackened beyond recognition, appeared as if they had been salvaged from a culinary bonfire. Despite the daunting appearance, Lee proceeded with the taste test, showcasing a resilience that was both admirable and necessary. The flavour, unsurprisingly, carried the deep, pervasive char of overcooked potatoes, with a texture that crunched not with the delightful crispness of well-made hash browns, but with the harshness of carbonised remains. Each bite was a stark reminder that even the simplest dishes require a vigilant eye. This taste test was less about savouring flavour and more about testing human fortitude. It stands as a whimsical yet cautionary tale of culinary experimentation, serving as a reminder that the line between crisped and crisped-to-oblivion is very, very fine. Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ - A heroic effort by Lee, but perhaps a return to the basics of cooking temperatures is advised for Kay! And Kay, Lee didn't say it was ok at all.

Kay i have a recipe for Zuchinni bread. Don't lose this though: 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 3 large eggs 1 cup vegetable oil 2 ¼ cups white sugar 3 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 cups grated zucchini 1 cup chopped walnuts Gather all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour two 8x4-inch pans. Sift flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon together in a large bowl. Beat eggs, oil, sugar, and vanilla together in a separate large bowl with an electric mixer until combined; add flour mixture and beat well. Stir in zucchini and walnuts until well combined. Pour batter into the prepared pans. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 40 to 60 minutes. Cool in the pans on a wire rack for 20 minutes. Run a table knife around the edges to loosen. Invert carefully onto a wire rack and let cool completely.

Kay I have a recipe for lemon meringue pie: Lesson 1 - Pastry: 200g plain flour A pinch of salt 100g hard block margarine Cold water to bind together Lesson 2 - Filling: 2 level tbsp cornflour 300g golden caster sugar finely grated zest 2 large lemon 125ml fresh lemon juice (from 2-3 lemons) Juice 1 large orange 85g butter 5 eggs - (3 egg yolks & 1 whole egg for curd) and (4 whites for meringue) Method For the Pastry: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Preheat the oven to 200C Sieve flour into a bowl a pinch of salt Cut the cold fat into cubes and add it to the flour Rub the fat into the flour until the mixture has a texture like breadcrumbs Add cold water and mix with a table knife until the dough starts to clump together. Make the pastry into a dough using your hands Lightly flour a table and roll out your pastry until it is about 1cm thick and is large enough for your pie dish. Place the pastry into the pie dish, tucking right into the edges. Trim off any excess pastry and prick the base with a fork. Scrunch up a piece of greaseproof paper, unfold and place into your pie dish. Place into the oven blind baking it for 10 minutes and then remove the greaseproof paper and return to the oven for a further 5 minutes. For the lemon filling: 1. 2. 3. 4. Mix 2 level tbsp cornflour, 100g golden caster sugar and finely grated zest of 2 large lemons in a medium saucepan. Cut the lemons in half and squeeze into a jug, then add to the saucepan gradually. Juice of 1 small orange in the measuring jug then make up to 200ml with cold water and add to the pan. Cook over a medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and smooth. Once the mixture bubbles, remove from the heat and beat in the butter until melted. Beat 3 egg yolks (do not bin the whites) and 1 whole egg together, stir into the pan and return to a medium heat. Keep stirring vigorously for a few minutes, until the mixture thickens and plops from the spoon. Take off the heat and pour into your pastry case. For the meringue: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Put 4 egg whites in a large, clean grease free bowl. Using an electric whisk, whisk to soft peaks, then add 100g of the golden caster sugar a spoonful at a time, whisking between each addition without overbeating. Whisk in 2 level tsp cornflour, then add the remaining 100g of the golden caster sugar as before until smooth and thick. Immediately put spoonful’s of meringue around the edge of the filling working your way into the middle. Pile the rest into the centre, spreading so it touches the surface of the hot filling then give it all a swirl to form small peaks. Return to the oven for 18-20 mins until the meringue is crisp and slightly coloured. Let the pie cool right down and set. Me and my family would love to see u make this, love you x
