Wow, congratulations Gene, to be honest I thought you were already in the millions because your content is so awesome... You were the second person I subscribed to on KZbin after a student (I am a media teacher) said she didn't watch streaming services or cable just KZbin. That was a long time ago and I have followed you on both your channels now for years. From that tiny apartment and your M50 to your recent interviews with incredible Hollywood DPs using iPhones... I sent it to one of my former students trying to make in LA now. This is the first comment I have left on your channel and I guess I am trying to get everything in in one comment. I have learned tonnes and have been inspired by your work. I love that you include your friends and especially Kari (fellow teacher) as well as all your dogs... you really bring your subscribers into your life and that's why I feel your channel will go on for as long as you want to keep posting. Oh man, I laughed so hard watching those old clips you added. Thanks for letting all of us know that sometimes growth on KZbin is a marathon, a slow race to a big milestone like 1M. We often see so many creators bragging about getting to a million within a year or a few, and we put so much pressure on ourselves to also make it that big. But you've shown that being excited about something you truly love is the most important thing; whether you get to a million subscribers or not is not the end goal, although it's a bitter sweet moment when you actually get there. Congrats on the achievement! This was so inspiring to watch.

Bro I think the fact that you have “Honest” in the title basically encapsulates your entire channel.
