I do agree that it is unfortunate that older dockyard ships are just unavailable. I was honestly hoping that we would see an Odin re-run of sorts this time as I believe that ship is officially 4 years old and has been unavailable (outside of Santa crates) since. I would greatly appreciate it if WG had an event of sorts where these older dockyard ships were available again, especially after so long.

how about a single dockyard per year where the players get to choose from any of the current dockyard ships that they do not have, as a final reward. for those that have been loyal dockyard ship collectors, give them a coupon for any coal/steel/RB ship as their reward for participating/purchasing all the previous dockyards. it's a win-win, letting players get ships they missed out on, and rewarding loyal customers at the same time, no one will feel left out.

dockyard needs to last longer so that many will win the ship. no one mentions the duration. and the second thing is that there are people who cannot play the game non-stop because they are limited by time. also ships that many do not want should be in free circulation.

I'm going to repeat what i said in your last video, I would like to see the dockyard ships to come back like the campaigns, still can grind the missions but only 3 at a time and once completed you have the option of finishing the last few phases or buying the ship for some doubs, i think that would be fair enough to everyone that either already did the dockyard or missed it.

@@markwurden6564 oh, it would have to be some sort of roll out like they do with their boats currently, having that FOMO in place for the player base. So the Campaigns wouldn't be dropped the same time as the dockyard and you most likely wouldn't be able to buy the extra phases. just thoughts of how they would go about it, but still would be nice to have the ability to "grind" for these premium and special ships.

It's a bit like "Worcester" is pronounced "Wooster" or "Knaresborough" is pronounced "Nasbra" by its locals

How I wish Dockyard worked; having a ship that is being built over several months with research points instead of dobloons. Research points can be cquired by playing, by grinding/regrinding lines. The construction advances the more research points you put in the dockyard ship. Of course, Research Point ships and Dockyard ships would be the same category altogether to me.

compared to azuma, it gets better dpm and fires/min but much worse ballistics (it's also a smaller target ig) compared to ibuki, once again slightly better dpm and fires/min, but much much worse conceal and rudder shift compared to encounter, doesn't have smoke but has the funny button instead, encounter has better conceal literally just go play a saint louis or encounter or something like that

I see absolutely no reason to take this ship over Buffalo. Fire chance isn't that much better, and Buffalo has vastly superior AP. Better conceal as well as higher DPM. And a 10km radar. Much better turret angles. No brainer really.

I have always found these tier 9 dockyard cruisers to be underwhelming. While I will certainly get this ship, my early read is it has a bit of a feel of being something of a port queen. Tier 9 just gets up tiered so much these days.

I enjoy Cigarette boat enough, the 16 gun salvos are just fun, even if it is kinda trash. Who knows maybe it'll get a little dispersion buff (which is really all it needs imo), 14in guns at T9 can work if you can actually land shells on target. Right now, the DPM is really good but you struggle to land shells where you want them, she could actually be really decent if her guns could land where they are aimed.
