I had the opportunity to visit Kidd a few weeks back, as she's preserved as a museum ship in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was a fantastic experience, I recommend going to see her if you have the opportunity. It really adds something when you look at her model in port; to be able to point the camera around and say "I climbed into that turret," "that's where the barber shop is located," "oh yeah the radar really does rotate the wrong way."

My Kidd is full AA meme build, usually with pure AA captain. This retro build ensures that I almost never see CVs with the thing 😂

A great example of modern DD play, this is why its so difficult to encourage newer players to play DD boats, and older players to adapt to the games changed dynamics, especially random battles, you have to adjust your strategy for every game, and then during the game as things change to be successful wirh any DD boat. This is why DD play in CBs is so important not offensively but as passive spotting and capturing. That being said, 3v3 brawls with t10 dds is the most fun ive had in along time!

@@PunzL this is why its a struggle to get tech tree DD's as in our current game play, ive found your precision with aggression has to decrease as you move up in the tree , this looks like passive behavior at first but your trying to balance your friendlys with enemies movements 😵‍💫

I took fearless brawler for my Kidd, it helps for DD VS DD fights more. If i'm in my smoke i don't really need more DPM most of the time, and i open gunboat a lot anyway so i think Fearless is a decent choice.

Kidd is one of my go-to T8 ships. Nice games. I’d like to see you play Sims. IMHO very underrated. It’s quite a nice gunboat, and incredibly nimble. High skillfloor but not as bad as many people make it out to be.

I actually did a full smoke build which gets up to 50 seconds of smoke dispersion. With competent people you can create safe passages spot to spot with a smoke trail and ships using that. I had fun gunning down FDR planes with kidd as well.

PQ you should have rpf on your dd to know the location of enemy dd and the possible direction of incoming torps. at the same time, pointing the possible location of undetected ship will be a big help on your team.

i love this dd with all my heart, gunpower, heal, AA (yes in 2023), mostly playing her in a div with a sneaky radar cruiser which i can put in a nice couch while i'm scouting/ fighting open water. What about a ship request on Neustrashimy (yep another dd with a heal), why not even think about a full gun build to outrade the enemy dd with ur massive heal?

Why are you so passive? You finished the second game with full HP and all of your heals.

I dont think he is playing passive as a strategy for this boat as a guide, its just the matchup he was assigned to, aggressive DD play in a game with passive TM's is shaking hands with danger.... By watching him and other skilled players ive found that you have to balance your strategy with what ever the MM gives you in random battles(assuming your not div'd up) especially with +9t matches as everything hurts and can isolate you quickly playing any DD in these matches requires delicate balancing and some encouragement with your TM's for better chances to WIN the match, getting 200k in damage and loosing awards less VS. 20k in damage , wining the match and keeping your TMs alive, the game awards you much more base xp.....

@@ramtuff06 I agree with everything you said. But @23:10 the Fletcher is spotted and he hesitates to fire. Why? He is actually further back than 3 of the teammates on his flank. And he has full HP and ALL of his heals. I think he could have killed Fletcher and probably the low health Orkan as well.

I know what your talking about but "hindsight" is always 20/20 right, what your talking about is a tactical error, so you are correct, however as humans we we susceptible to these attractions within the game as PQ identified later in the video....its my belief that most players especially DDs are too aggressive in our current gameplay causing premature 🤡 failure in their objectives

if i get smoked i tri to stay in but most of the time i cant slow down in time and if i do manage to i dont shot guns unless i get spotted buy radar or hydro so my 2nd can work a bit dose not hapen often tho
