If you haven't tried it yet, running a double or triple legendary mod. Colombo division is a riot. We've been calling it the Colombros Squad, just standard BB commander build with Sansonetti. Usually start off in a line going one direction and we each smoke each other up. It either goes REALLY well, or HORRIBLY wrong (usually this because we're drunk and dumb), but it's always a laugh lol.

Only suggestion for the “long reload” for a secondary build BB: Use the main battery reload skill 4pt (instead of health +3 and repair +1). This significantly increases your reload when in secondary range, and with secondary ranges buffed by the other skills and modules it makes ships like Yammy and Vermont almost French BB base level reloads. Not serious competitive builds but my preferred secondary meme for sure. Nothing more fun than popping up close from behind an island in a yammy or Vermont and getting off two salvos with secondary guns blazing. Especially when they think you’re on the back line still sniping…

I run 2ndary builds on most of my BB's, not all of them but most of them. With BB's that have 2ndaries with decent base range (6-8 km) on certain BB's you can push 2ndaries out to 11+ kms.

I used to run secondary build on the original Tirpitz secondaries lol. It was rarely good, but when it worked, it was fun. Now that Bismarck line is out, Tirpitz has better secondaries to match

Buddy , you are wasting potential of your ships ! , secondaries 100% for german line , (oddies like Ohio & Massa) and new pan American , rest will benefit more from classic build.

@@Huzarionix Totally agree about the German BB's. With a few exceptions, the mains on German BB's are terrible at any thing less than almost point blank range. However, the 2ndaries on most of them of them are pretty good. I know there *has* to be German BB's with decent mains, but don't ask me about them, because I don't know which ones they are. 😋 I mostly play co-op because I play WoW for fun, randoms only rarely, just to see how well I do from time to time. Note to people who play co-op and want to go play randoms: You have to unlearn a LOT of what you know, the difficulty curve on Randoms is totally different!

@@Micharus I have almost 16 k battles in random (majority T9), & 11k battles in co op , I play co op often as is easy way to do quickly tasks for missions , and there is no stress there , and that is great after ranked , if you want to have some fun , play T1 , is super ez to get achievements there as majority of teams are bots . o7

Full secondary Shiki in ranked game. Near full HP Shimakaze came burning around around an island at around 5k distance showing a nice broadside profile. Melted him for 20k damage in less than 10 seconds. No main battery involved. Wish I'd taken a video of that.....

In high tier operations, secondary Shiki is the unstoppable destroyer of worlds lol. That 47% torpedo damage reduction is so nice and the bots aim center mass so she’s very tanky as well.

personally I find that shikishima performs better than yamato. something about the fact that shiki actually has AA and reloads faster makes it easier to play in randoms as a AP spammer on basically any target that crosses my guns. and in clans I've had pretty good success with a hybrid secondary build

I remember (before the secondaries were nerved) Yamato had 10.6km secondaries and basically had a Atlanta strapped to each side. If you would push and a DD thought it could jump you for a torp run, it would melt on the spot. It was awesome being able to spec ships differently and use them ion a different role without degrading their effectiveness. Those were fun time in WG. AA specking your Montana and provide a cloud of safety for 2-3 ships, shredding every plane that comes close. You got great team play too between strangers offering them the umbrella, working together.

Shiki has standard battle VERTICAL dispersion unlike the rest of the standard IJN BBs and BCs. Her Horizontal spread does follow the standard Japanese curve getting better compared to the rest the father you shoot all be it, with lower horizontal spread than her peers

I find Yamato favors the historical immunity-zone kind of play which doesn't work as well in WOWS - you take the least damage sitting almost flat broadside but far enough away that shells shatter on your citadel belt.

I run a hybrid on Shikishima. The last slot is instead just reload mod instead of secondary reload mod. The 30mm of pen base is fine and shreds cruisers and DD’s and most BB’s. Fun fact the base accuracy of Shikishima is the same as legendary Yamato. So not running accuracy mod in the 3rd slot isn’t much of a loss. The only real issue is just the shell volume makes it seem less accurate. I recommend it if you want something a little different than a Yamato. I think it’s fun and I do well in it

@@gesalbte off the top of my head, preventative maintenance, turret rotation, priority target, both secondary skills, concealment. And then from there you can do one of two builds. Drop fire prevention for basics of survivability and IFHE or take fire prevention and priority target. Priority target is a fluid pic but turret rotation is a priority pick for Shikishima. Even with Yamamoto it’s still around 72 second turret rotation. IFHE isn’t needed for shiki since the 30mm of pen is fine for shredding cruisers and DDs, but if you want to shred most BBs in the game then you take IFHE. I’ve found not take fire prevention with both repair mods and basics of survivability and with flags you only burn for around 35-40 seconds, and Shiki/Yamto is usually 2nd or back line so the times you do burn is usually in some brawling scenarios and even then it’s not for too long. So you’re unlikely to die from it

Shiki is the top of my secret IJN secondary BB line. Mikasa, Mutsu, Nagato, Kii, Iwami, Shikishima. All have good main guns for range and decent secondary.

Yes back in the day where both Iowa and Monty have a Citadel way higher than Yamato which back then it was a nightmare to operates. Because Yamato can just Citadel Max Range you to death in a single salvo. Oh how high Iowa citadel back then? Oh IDK 80% of the ship hull just made out of citadels.

I had secondary build for like 1 year on Yamamoto my main commander on Musashi , Yamato & Shikishima , so I had secondary mod installed on every ship , 10km secondaries scared destroyers , I got some secondary kills , but my dmg was not good , and after that year when I have changed to classic build commander + ASM1 , one of first battles on mysashi I have made 330.360 dmg my dmg record , so secondaries on Shikishima or her sister ships is not good option .

Looks like that secondary Shiki works well in Airship Escort, but you need °°s of steel to do this in Random. In a more standard approach; would you prefere Shiki or Incomparable?

Hot take but have you tried taking a secondary build Wichita in operations? It's essentially a Benson attached to your cruiser, overlooked but it's actually really fun, plus they're rather accurate too

I do enjoy your vids - however 1 minor complaint - you complain about not being able to punish broadsides consistently while simultaneously not aiming correctly. The Zao at 6:16 was not sailing perpendicular to you but rather slightly turned in, meaning your aim was too high - hence the overpens rather than cits. I have seen this in your videos before too. I'm not a WOWS expert by any means, but yeah - the lack of consistency can be explained!
