i'm a hard pass on Soto i feel we can get better without him as crazy as that sounds. you don't need Soto to win a championship he helps but you don't need him. spread the money around address the weaknesses on this team which were exposed in the playoffs even in the WS. that game 5 was horrible we lack athletes and competent defenders. the Yankees have put players in positions where they are not comfortable like why is Judge playing CF to accommodate Soto. still it short sides him because he's not a center fielder same with Cabrera. he's not a 1B he's a natural 2B/3B although he handle himself well there. i just feel the Yankees need to address the holes and put people in positions to succeed.

He is looking for his forever team and looking for a contract to take him to his age 38 or 39 season. Now I could be way off but if Hal offers him a 13-15 year contract at or above $50 million, he might come back. Soto has earned the right to listen to every offer and take the MOST money. How hard it is to make it to the majors and be as good as he is, he is owed the money.. I still feel paying these players 700 million or 600 million is freaking NUTS. The team that signs Soto is buying a DH. His fielding is average at best. You're buying plate discipline, walks and great hitting. Not worth stupid money. Very hard to trade 60+ million iif and when he breaks down. Then it's Stanton all over again.

And that's why the best place for him is Left Field in Boston.

Lindor would be bigger than Soto!! After the season he had, there's nobody on the Mets bigger than Lindor. Maybe for the tools in the washed media but not the fans. See, I care about what you've done for my team, not what you might do. Lindor is King of New York!

He’s also more likeable than Soto, and after all this dog and pony show he wont seem so charismatic.

Soto would definitely be bigger. Maybe not to Mets fans but to the rest of the league for sure. Lindor is an awesome player, but he's never been the consistent great hitter Soto is.

Lindor is an amazing player, but let's be honest he is no Soto. Let's not forget that whenever he played for the Cleveland Indians, he wasn't the best player there as well. Hell when Soto played on the Yankees this past year, he wasn't the best player on the team.

You’re saying lindor had a better year than Soto? In which way? Besides defensively name 1 thing he did better

Exactly... And Jays fans feel EXACTLY the same about Vladdy! His team, & if he isn't signed for his career no thanks on dh only Soto!

Jays have spent and already said they aren't increasing payroll so I can't see it happening. Also who would want to play for Toronto

Dance for me meetings? He’s signing a 13 year contract. All players are supposed to come to the owner ? For their presentation? Michael is out of touch on some issues
