When talking about the Mets income they have tons of financial potential that is untapped. 60% of seasons they are playing meaningless games in August. And Flushing is a great neighborhood but there's not enough to do around the stadium. Now the NYCFC is coming and a Hard Rock Casino. Cohen is doing what the Wilpons didn't , which is try to change the culture.

They can’t play in Steinbrenner field. It’s only got 11000 seats and more importantly it’s an OUTDOOR stadium. I went to game in Tropicana field last year. A day game there will draw ZERO, because it is much too hot to sit in the stadium in the summer.

The Jays do not have a lot of financial freedom. They already said they arent raising payroll so they have about 60 million and they have a ton of holes in the team. Soto would take up 2/3rds of that so it doesn't make sense. Soto is not Ohtani

I think most baseball people do not think Juan Soto is worth 46 million a season and definitely not for 14 years. It doesn’t really matter though. Boras only has to convince 1 person that he is worth that much. Apparently, that person is Cohen. I’m pretty certain he will sign with the Mets and I am more certain that if he dies they will be regretting it in about 4 or 5 years. Soto is destined to be a DH. He is probably not 26 years old. And once he signs that huge contract he will be less motivated to improve his game. He already does not care about his defense. Look at how many baseball players just start to gain weight and fade away from what they were able to do when they were young.

8th or 9th best is a bit too far. I’d say 4th or 5th best. I agree with putting the dodgers, padres and Mets above them, maybe even the Phillies but that’s arguable. But the Yankees were definitely the best team in the American League

Why do we have to wait a full day for these clips, Its old news by the time it gets out here to YT. Seems like many other shows are able to get these clips loaded either during the show or right after. If TMKS is a one man show I get it everything takes time, but since its the MK show I am thinking there are a lot more people behind the scenes.

The taxes in Canada means they have to do way more than match another team. I don’t know if that is going to be worth it for a guy that is going to get as much as Soto.
