Theme-wise it's only similar in that you're making and selling stuff. Gameplay wise the similarity is you get some random ingredients at the start of each day and semi-rare opportunities to buy more. Which combinations of ingredients you have are important for which effects you can make. Obviously potion craft goes into its own mini game there for how to get effects with different ingredients but it has surface level similarity.

something I do hope they do with this game is for them to add a chill tycoon-y gamemode where there's no loss condition and you can just smith stuff forever, maybe they could repurpose chaos to be a nerf instead of a loss giving you worse prices the higher your chaos is? I definitely don't want them to just remove the current gamemode, it's definitely cool on it's own, I've just been searching for a blacksmithing tycoon game forever and I've noticed there's not really many choices and I'm sure there's plenty of other peeople who'd find a game like that fun.
