Making Turquoise Earrings Jewelry Sterling Silver and Morenci Turquoise

In this video I am SO sorry I stumble with my words and am not great at teaching what I am doing (like I normally talk through each step, here I can barely put two words together that make sense!).

Between those two supply places, you can get pretty much all you need. A lot of what is in my studio has been scavenged over the years from jewelry supply stores closing out, or other businesses.

On your sunburst can I ask what size gauge metal you use?

I honestly can say, because I use all recycled silver.. so most of my stamps are made from spoon handles that I've hammered/thinned out and then stamped. I try not to use too thin of sterling sheet because the punch/stamp will crease it enough to crack when you bend the suns. So, something thick enough to take the stamp without piercing through.

thank you so much for answering me, I have been working on a project which I made the components flowers I am thinking maybe 20 ga and when I soldered them on I blistered the metal I got it to hot @@TwoManyProjects

@@Nancy4133nope it would be good to try a thicker gage metal. 20 gage is a bit thin but can work for stamps. Maybe try an 18 gage or do what I do and repurpose sterling spoons or forks...this is how I get a lot of my sterling is from spoons/forks/platters that are sterling.
