I am so happy and impressed with this video. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Many years ago I did quite a bit of throwing on the wheel. I then developed severe rheumatoid arthritis in my hands and wrists to the point where I had to have my wrists fused. The wrists will no longer bend and since the surgery, throwing on the wheel has become obsolete for me. I do do hand building, but I really miss the wheel. I have searched for years to find some type of instruction on the internet to be able to get back to throwing again. I found methods for various other maladies, but never for someone who could not bend their wrists. I belong to several pottery groups on Facebook and today I came across a post by Steve Smith that suggested your online videos. You are exactly what I was looking for, someone who actually teaches a method that keeps your wrists straight and not bent. What a great philosophy. Thank you so very much...my husband and I will be bringing out my wheel this afternoon and I will have your video at hand for practicing.
