Hi there Lisa. Thank you so much for your content. You are an inspiration for other potters like me. I have not been able to find (in the States) a pretty red translucent glaze like the one you featured (as cranberry) on your red and green cups. I tried the Pottery Supply House and they have two glazes that are reds named wine and red onion... AND they ship to Michigan. I bought some "wine". Thank you so much for sharing and for your videos!

Always great watching your openings, next time I’m in PEI, I’ll have to connect. My sister lives in Charlottetown but sometimes we go to summer side.

Gosh! Love that reactive Red. I looked for it here but didn't see it. I will have to ask to have it brought in. The red mugs are soooo pretty! Thanks for sharing again Lisa!

Hi Audrey, I was happy with them. My next goal. Reactive red, with soft red over white is my next combo to try.

Very nice firing Lisa, my river birch is in the mail! I did a gnome hat with Mayco sapphire with blue hydrangea over today. So seeing your studio blue/blue hydrangea gives me a sneaky suspicion of what it may look like. Do you put a clear over your badges or leave them bare? I put a clear over some designer liner in letters on a badge today and not sure if it will be ok. 💙👍

Yes! It should be very similar. You will love river birch

Hey Lisa amazing unload again good luck w yr sale I have to try r birch s red combo love it! With the clay u add for pei and bees etc do u just cut out the shape stamp it then slip n score n attach at leather hard? Love the look of them. Nat xx
@finklepottery7048 ай бұрын
Hi Nat! Thanks! I do attach at leather hard but always make sure to cover in plastic for a day as the thin medallions of clay can pull away from the pot if they dry too quickly. With the bees I stamp first then cut the round so as not to distort the circle. With the word sayings I cut the shape first press in the letters.

When I am using underglaze transfers I usually put the transfers on the clay first then cut.

Loving your work…. I have a question for you…how do you handle the thermal shock when temperatures drop below freezing…I’m in Ontario and trying to figure out best place to locate kilns and functional all year round.
@finklepottery7048 ай бұрын
I don’t find it an issue. Usually I unload the kiln and take the pieces right into the studio. My kiln is just a couple of metres from the studio door.
