These dishes are adorable. I love that you stayed simple ant brought out their original beauty and classic feel. For your next piece, have you painted any designs using negative space? It might be something unique and different, and a little funky. Another idea is animal paws or tracks. But I also loved the white and red mushroom dish, so possibly a simple color palette with a neutral base and one bold pop of color.

Ooh, animal paw prints would be adorable! Classic cat/dog paw, bird toesies, pig/cow hoof, horseshoe... Would wax resist work for underglaze painting? Would look kind of like carving away the underglaze. May be an easier option on the pieces that are already fully dry, or have needed an extra biscue firing to make them more durable before painting..?

So cute! Suggestion for painting sometime-cover the whole thing in small, medium, and large dots like the Japanese artist Kusama. I love your dot spacing and I love watching you make teeny dots with your brush. I think it would be fun to do a really bright solid color like lime green or opal purple or hot pink and then put different sized white dots all over it as she does!

LOVE LOVE LOVE The MUSHROOM 🍄 🍄 🍄 One of my favourite things too and I love drawing and painting them. You’re right they’re definitely a very diverse thing to play with. You can make them real or magical, mythical, just a perfect subject. I have an old book on mushroom 🍄 what’s poisonous and what’s not to eat. Great pictures too only problem some of the pictures are in black and white it’s an old book. Also loving your winter clothes you look fabulous and so warm. Oh I love this so much!! Since high school I have drawn mushrooms, embroidered mushrooms, collected glass mushrooms, sewn mushroom fabrics, studied mushrooms, even grown mushrooms to eat. I swear it's so cool to find someone as obsessed as I am! I found a vintage mushroom lidded casserole, with a brown speckled oatmeal glazed effect. The mushrooms are a medium muted gold and taupe. With soft muted greenery.

Absolutely my number one favorite so far! These always remind me of my grandmother. She had an aunt who made the entire merry mushroom set for her and painted them by hand. She eventually lost them in a fire so I only ever saw pictures of them. I just still think they're the most beautiful set of kitchen accessories I've ever seen all these years later.

The mushrooms pieces have been my favorite so far. My Dad used to take my brother and I morel hunting so mushrooms have always been special to me. We lost my brother a year and a half ago and I find my attachment to mushroom themed items has gotten even stronger. My brother was a real FunGi. And I miss him ❤️

As a child my Mom had the mushroom canister set my sister painted for her, this was in the 70s. I regret now that she sold them later in a garage sale. My late Mother was not sentimental about anything. I think the tray alone would be a neat trinket tray or serving plate! So cute and I love the mushroom pieces also.

Looove the brown tones. I guess for me I love your art because it’s busy and bright and floral, so i enjoy pieces where you get to fill in the background a lot with small flowers and the piece is more up to interpretation artistically.
