Love this glaze combo. What are the throwing dimensions for the Wine Bottle holder you made? or the finished dimensions?

Thank you Susan. Good question. That was for the throwing dimensions. But you can make a little bigger or smaller if you like. 😊

At what point do you wire off - at leather hard or as soon as you finish throwing? Also, what is the diameter? And, I would be afraid to glaze that far down close to the base, for fear of it running off onto the kiln shelf and getting kicked out of the studio I use. How did you insure that it didin’t run onto the shelf? I always leave a kind of ugly unglazed few mm at the bottom for safety. Thanks for your answers and all of your helpful videos!!

Great questions! I wired off when the clay is leather hard. I threw it 7 inches high and 4 and a half inches across measure the inside to make sure the wine bottle will fit. I don't apply as much glaze on the bottom and I always make sure I have a nice edge on the foot for the glaze to pool if it runs too much. Because you use a studio kiln you may want to use cookies. How tall is the bottle holder please? I tried making one but don’t think it’s tall enough. .

@@PotteryCrafters Thank you so much for your prompt responses. I guess my wine bottle holder is now a pen holder as its only 4 1/2 inches LOL. 7 inches is something for me to work towards. I am really enjoying the projects. They make practising my skills more meaningful and encouraging.😄
