It would be really awesome to make grog in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet and throw rainbow speckled "funfetti" cups!

This is amazing! My plan for next year is to play with mixing and colouring clays to create my own staples, as well as getting into making glazes. This series is exactly what I needed! An "easy" entry into a new area of ceramics.

Ok, as a German, when I thought of grog, because it's almost Christmas, I thought of mulled wine or hot rum. Was a bit confused.

Curious question: could the grog be used without firing first?
@aminaa5824
@aminaa5824 20 күн бұрын
No, it will just end up becoming wet clay again and grog is needed in the mix

Me again! I have another question with DIY speckles... In your opinion if you try to glaze some parts of your speckled vessells (not clear glaze) will be speckles visible trough colored glaze?

Thank you for this speckles month! Do you think bisqued earthenware would do for the grog? Or would it melt anyway at 1240C?

Hi! How do you know what size of grog you want? 😶 How do you know how much grog you want? 😶 Would grog be useful for air dry clay? (If you have any experience with the material).
@PotterytothePeople

I am not sure about air dry clay! I mentioned the grog sizes in the video & in terms of amount, I didn’t measure 😅 you’ll just have to experiment yourself!

@@PotterytothePeopleor even better, pestle and mortar + sieve inside a dust chamber, or whatever a glove box/work box is all called. If you're going to be grinding up more dry materials, might be a contemplation? A samla bin and some rubber gloves and a friend with a 3d printer, or some pvc couplers and a bunch of sillicone.
