Just finished a 4.5 reno of our 1938 home with a 1980 addition (bright gold bathroom hardware 😬) and, boy, could I slam a huge list of requirements for a new build that I never would’ve thought of before! Lol For instance, 3k sq ft on 1.5 acres and it had ONE faucet at the end of the house . duh So one of the improvements was adding a frost-free on the other end plus 100’ accordion hoses so I can reach every corner of our upper yard. Kudos planning for your yard from the very beginning!!

I have been gifted amaryllis the last several years from my godmother (and I just turned 65!). I stored them each year and then bring them back out for the season. Worked every time so far (zone 5b outside Chicago). We recently moved to zone 10 SWFL and I am planning to plant them outside next week. 🤞🙏 I have been told they will grow all year here. Hoping that all 9 make for a pretty show soon.

Great job, Aaron, on the planning! I understand how that feels: when you are programming and designing it in a particular way for future proofing, and then the future comes, and you have to add a new feature, and it was a short and simple addition. Planning and future-proofing can make any job simple.

I love amaryllises! The big ones are "jumbo" (over 34 cm circumference when harvested), and if they get over 40 cm I've seen the term "colossal." With cache pots, I usually try to find a plastic nursery pot that fits inside. That way I can drain out excess water if I get carried away!

I’m so inspired!! ❤❤❤ Love the way you arrange your tables adding the books and candles etc. 😊 Makes you want to light the candle and sit down and read 😊😊😊 I need a much larger Amaryllis budget than I currently have!!! Unfortunately last year I didn’t get one for myself!! 😢
