@@darkethan34 I use Cakewalk for the music. It is free to use. I force myself to create. Inspiration is not the key. Putting one foot in front of the other is. Eventually fascination takes over. I often wonder how I did that. I just keep looking. Oh and the visuals are Mandelbulb 3D. Also free. It is a hell of a Pandora's box. Not easy to get into but once you open the lid... FUN!

your videos are absolutely incredible! but i cant help but think that all of this would take an infinity to render. do you have a supercomputer, are you just THAT patient that you're willing to let it render for days/weeks at a time? or maybe somehow it doesnt take that long to render and im missing something?

I’m clueless as to how this is made but it’s so complex I’m assuming it’s just a few equations playing out?
@Maxjoker984 жыл бұрын
I assume it's ray marching. Ray marching is surprisingly simple: You have an equation that defines the (minimal) distance to the geometry, e.g. f(x,y,z) = d. For every pixel on the screen, you generate a camera ray segment, and plug it's endpoint into the equation. If d > 0, go at least d in the direction of the camera ray. If d < 0 the ray intersected the geometry, set the pixel. If after some time d never gets to 0, you set the pixel to the background color. You can now render fractals. doing it like this has several advantages: For example, you can easily stetch, twist, etc. the geometry - Just modify the input x,y,z before you plug them into the equation. You can stack these operations to make a simple fractal more complex. You can have geometry that would be hard/impossible to render using just lots of triangles(Like computer games do using classical rasterizers). There is a lot more to make them look pretty, e.g. you need to calculate the surface normals to properly light them. You want some localized features to color the fractal. And of course, some light sources. There is software that lets you play around with this sort of stuff, for example Mandelbulb 3D.
