I just traded my 2021 cherokee trailhawk in on a 2021 grand cherokee trailhawk. I wanted more towing for my rockwood 1910esp, more room for overlanding/camping gear. We dont wheel hard like you but the Grand Trailhawk is awesome. We already went to 265 65 18 falcon wildpeak at3ws. I know a lot dont like the air ride, but I do. 100000 mile warranty so not to worried. Nice ride.

The car-camping potential is soo much better with the grand! I'm not a fan of how large it is in many offroad situations, but it does have its strong points. I got some 33.4" Wildpeak RT's and they are simply amazing....if just a tiny bit too big.

@FearlessTrailhawk I agree with you on the size can be a negative also. There's one trail I ran in the cherokee that I won't run in the grand. The grand is just big enough. I would scratch the heck out of it. There are a lot of narrow trails the cherokee was perfect for. I do prefer the extra space, though. We run mainly forest roads and camping, so it works out. I thought I wanted a gladiator, but with much thought, did not want my gear in the open getting dirty and were folks could see everything I carried. To much theft nowadays. Lets not forget the comfort and lower wind resistance. Im not totally ruling a gladiator out, but not right now.

That is amazing you were able get up that. It was not easy for me with 37" mud tires and a 3.5" lift. Little morning rain caused me a lot of struggle.

Both have their strengths, some things i like the KL, some things i like the WK2. Both still elicit fun reactions from bystanders!

You getting another KL CarGuy? You and Fearless bummed me out with all the trouble you had with your KLs. Sure enough, my 2017 shit the bed too, but I got a 2020 anyway😮! CarGuy was pretty ez on his too! Don’t Grands have air suspension you can raise and lower? Seems like that’d help off-road, if they do.

@@CarGuy11 Matter of fact I do have a CT reservation (around #500k). I’ll have some wait time to see if I actually want to pull that trigger. Electric DB stems from my battery chainsaw/solar panel use in the woods. Battery chainsaws are a good match for rigs like KLs. I believe Fearless carries one too. I use mine quite often.

I run those tires too. Learned that I had to air down much more than I did my first few times. I now ususally go at around 21 psi but on far less challenging terrain than in this video.@@FearlessTrailhawk

I'm definitely not a fan of how much bigger it is and i have to be more careful around trees, ect. I'd say each has their own strength and weaknesses for sure.

@FearlessTrailhawk I'm mainly considering 1 for the reliability issue with the kl on the ptu, rear diff and axles. But I want to stay in a jeep and don't want to go the wrangler route.
