That was a wonderful performance and so insightful of Poulenc's musical poetry.

It was nice hearing a flute sound like a flute!

Agreed...she has a lovely tone and a great sense of art....we now have too much trumpet and / or screech...but it's not easy to get what she has...maybe we were better off had we stayed with wood...I have two lovely old Rudall Carte wood flutes (Radcliff) and they have lovely warm sound.

You are very good and Poulenc is really brilliant. My choir sang "Les Tisserands" in quarantine style. Write this down in the research. You will love it for sure: Corale Novarmonia - Les Tisserands (F. Poulenc)

I wish they both (piano and flute) would have been a bit more aggressive with the 1st and 3 movements. I found her tone a bit too thin in the upper register and not as solid or sure in the lower register.....there were moments of brilliance but not enough for me to consider this a definitive interpretation.

Still better, then Galway

I think agressive is not the right word. I think you mean that she can play with much more character, colors, a full sound and...🔥🔥🔥. I miss the fire. For me this is too technical and boring. I agree with you that the high notes are too thin. Also the first note in the 3rt movement has no character.
